"Everything was okay until I received the final invoice. Initial quoted estimate was between $510-$595 for winterization and unclogging the skimmer line. The invoice I received was for $890. There was no communication that they were trending well over the initial quote. Had I known it would be so high, I could have considered other options. I offered, very politely, to sign up for a year's worth of monthly maintenance if they would bring their pricing back down to the range originally quoted. Their service folks were friendly and my only real issue was the lack of communication about going 30%+ over the estimate. They essentially declined and ended up billing $830 and "understood if they weren't the right fit for me". They gave up $1,200 in revenue in 2022 for roughly $250. I don't know their business but that math, coupled with declining return business was a head-scratcher. Didn't leave with the impression that they need additional business."
