"Went there in October at night & it had to be one of the best things I have ever done. The way the rides lit up the dark night was so cool & there really wasn't anyone there cause it was late & there was a slight drizzle"
"One major complaint. They used to have free parking, it now costs $5 per vehicle... Which is pretty dumb. If they want to deter homeless or vagrants, then they should just have people at the gate to allow people to come in, not charge their patrons money, just to come in. Otherwise, this is a fun amusement park. Has about 2 dozen rides, traditional carnival games, and plenty of fair food. Went here for a work party event. The staff was friendly. Even though it was cold, there was lots to enjoy."
"Let's call this a reluctant 5, due to the price. Oaks Park is a really neat place. It has history, shade trees, a riverfront location, and some nice rides. My son is an "enthusiast", so Adrenaline Peak was the main attraction for us, and it did not disappoint. The Carousel was unique and enjoyable. The people were friendly.. Everything we tried was of 5-star quality. But we were pretty well done at the park within 90 minutes. At 50 bucks a pop, then, it just wasn't a great value for us. For those parents with 13-and-unders, let's say, but who don't like the rides themselves, Oaks may be a good deal, as you won't be paying an admission just to watch. Otherwise, though, it's just expensive for what you'll get. I'll close by confessing my Mid-Atlantic bias, as we have many affordable amusement parks nearby that are both cheaper and offer a greater number and variety of rides. In a region like the PNW with so few options, though, perhaps this value outcome is inevitable. Maybe the entrepreneurial spirit will strike some, and more options will open. The rise of indoor ride popularity may help extend the number of operating days and make this viable. In the meantime ... just swallow the price pill early, and enjoy a really nice park!"
"Fun, but expensive... almost $50/person over 48" tall for a ride bracelet, and no discount for only having 90 mins left to ride. The teens/adults running the rides were cranky, and the rides all seemed a bit clunky/difficult to operate. The kids had fun. Roller skating is awesome! The event spaces are nice."
"Great family amusement park! This park is built for young families, it's perfect for the little ones. Our 4 and 6 year old boys had a blast (so did we lol) and were able to go on almost every ride, especially the 6 year old. Both had smiles on their faces the whole time. The length of time on each ride is a very good amount, making the experience even more enjoyable. All of the rides were in good mechanical order and clean. The games are fair and they make it quite easy to win prizes as well, which makes it much more fun for the younger ones. The food was good and fairly priced. The all you can drink option is a steal if one plans to spend more than a couple of hours at the park. Plus, the food truck area has some good options, we really liked the shave ice, yum! Washrooms are clean, and the park in general is well kept up and clean. The park had no weirdos working the park. All staff were friendly and attentive and seemed to want people to have a good time. Also, the customers seemed like they were having a great time, and the general mood at the park was fun and friendly. Oaks Amusement Park is a must do for young families especially, highly recommend!"
