Reviews
"Director Park Is a nice-looking place to have a nice rest. And maybe get something to eat from the food carts that are usually there. There is a water feature that you can bring your kids to play in and have fun. Usually open in the warm summertime and Spring. There is also a giant chessboard and chess pieces that are cool looking, they also provide free Wi-Fi all year around which is a plus. There is also a covered area that lights up at night. There are a couple of homeless people that do walk around there, but it's fine."
"Nice SMALL area, not really a park, no grass, no trees. During the winter the water is drained. Summer is best, perfect wading pool for kids. One block from Nordstrom."
"The bioswales in Directors Park are extremely helpful to prevent combined sewage overfills that occur during heavy rain events and storms, my only question is: can we plant some vegetation in them? Perhaps a couple decorative Japanese Maple trees. The prevailing thought has seemed to be that the bio swales will be constantly swampy marshy, that is far from the case. The bio swales in Portland have greatly reduced storm water overflow into the combined sewers, but today, some of them need to be revisited and possibly replanted."
"Not so much a park as a plaza, as it's mostly paved and doesn't have that many trees. That said, there's a large, shallow fountain that kids can play in."
"A place of rest for me after a stroll or jog during lunch. I often sit here before heading back to work, and if the weather is nice, I like to take cool pictures."
