"Having to make the decision to put our dog down was one of the hardest things I’ve had to do, but I am so grateful for the people who walked with us through this. Thank you MedVet Vancouver for loving on our boy and us through this incredibly difficult time. Leah Gibbs made us feel seen and heard and helped us make the right decision, even though it wasn’t an easy one to make. Forever grateful for each and every person who interacted with us and Cassius that evening. The compassion they showed will never be forgotten and it went a long way with us. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts."
"MedVet was incredible. They were compassionate and knowledgeable. I felt a high degree of confidence in the staff and doctor. When we had an emergency they got us in immediately. They did not do anything unnecessary and I felt they were considerate of my finances. The staff had colored hair, piercings, and tattoos, which tells me they are open minded and people focused. That makes me feel they are less likely to discriminate. The made me and my daughter extremely comfortable. THANK YOU MEDVET!!!"
"Our almost 13 year old Border Collie, Odin, was fine one morning, and very sick when I got him from work in the evening. I brought him to MedVet and they did an ultrasound and found lesions on his liver and spleen and blood in his abdomen suggesting hemangiosarcoma, a fast growing, aggressive cancer. They gave us plenty of time to allow our daughter to get a ride up from her college down south, and spend a few sweet hours pouring love and chocolate into him (the kisses we fed him were the only time he perked up). Though we are devastated by the loss of our sweet dog Odin, we are so grateful for MedVet's compassion and caring during that awful evening. We appreciated their candor and honesty about his condition. They made a horrible night bearable, and for that, we are truly grateful."
"We noticed what were some very serious symptoms with our dog, Cammie. It was a Friday night at around 7:30 pm and I found Medvet Vancouver on a Google search. I called them and a very professional, friendly and polite receptionist told me that they were available to see Cammie. We took her in and we were amazed how excellent the care and service was. I carried my dog into the lobby area and was immediately checked in. It was just a few minutes and my dog was triaged and taken into an examination room. It wasn't too long and a vet came in and started checking out Cammie to try and figure out what exactly was wrong. Cammie was taken into the back area to get a more thorough examination and a sonogram was performed. Again, without too great a delay, the vet came back and gently gave us the bad news that Cammie was pretty much beyond help. My 15 year old dog had a large mass growing on her spleen and it was causing serious difficulties that couldn't be corrected. We consented to euthanizing our beloved doggy and although a very tough time for us, the staff at this clinic gave us comfort and understanding. I can't say enough about how thoroughly professional and helpful every member of the staff was in such a difficult situation. We will always be grateful and thankful that we took our pup to this clinic for our final goodbyes."
"We had a very scary experience with our boy and went to a different emergency vet at first. They weren't able to help us so they transfered our care to MedVet. It made this scary uncertain time better. The staff are so friendly and attentive that we will not use another vet anymore. The ER vet was kind and compassionate and helped our boy. We even got a video of him in recovery after surgery so we knew he was okay. This is one of the best vets I have ever been too!"
