"My primary issue during my stay was with the apparent complacency of room service. The bed linen did not seem freshly laundered, the towels had seen better days, and the general cleanliness of the room was not up to the mark. As an elderly lady with sensitivity to dust, I dealt with incessant sneezing and overall discomfort throughout my stay. The hotel also lacked proper consideration for elderly guests. There were no handrails in the restrooms, which I believe is an essential facility considering the slippery floors. I had to rely constantly on my walking cane which isn't ideal in such spaces. In essence, my stay at your hotel has left me feeling neglected and undervalued as a customer, and that's not a feeling one should get from a hotel of your stature. It is my genuine request that changes be made to improve the experience for elder patrons like myself. Additionally, in this review, I must also address an unpleasant interaction with a staff member of your hotel. The woman who manned the front desk, exhibited a disheartening level of rudeness and indifference. Each time I approached her with inquiries or requests for assistance, her responses were gruff and dismissive. She seemed consistently disinterested, providing curt answers or reactions that were far from helpful or considerate. I was particularly astounded by this, as the warmth and politeness of the staff has always been something I have appreciated about the Courtyard brand. Therefore, this encounter was a stark contrast to the usual commendable service I've come to expect. The woman's lack of sensitivity was further pronounced in my case as an elderly patron who requires a little more patience and understanding. Her rudeness not only dented the overall hotel experience for me, but was also, honestly, quite hurtful."
"Despite our generally favorable view of the Marriott brand, a recent visit to the Courtyard by Marriott subjected us to an unfortunate experience that compels us to jot down this review. We had the misfortune of encountering an egregiously impolite staff member, a redhead, who demonstrated a flagrant disregard for the minimum standards of decency and courtesy expected in an industry that thrives on stellar customer service. From the onset, as we approached her to check in, we were met with an unmistakably brusque disposition, teetering on the brink of complete rudeness. Our harmless inquiries were answered with snapback retorts that were not just unwarranted, but also outright insulting. Her abrasive conduct successfully cast a pall over our vacation excitement. To further exacerbate our discomfort, our children had to bear witness to this inappropriate show of disrespect. We find that such an environment is hardly appropriate or enjoyable for young impressionable minds. Compounding our dissatisfaction was the supposedly 'free parking' offer. Upon arrival, we were taken aback by a $20 nightly parking fee. Perpetuation of such misleading information is not just regrettable, but also remarkably unworthy of an institution as prestigious as Courtyard by Marriott. Given our unfortunate experience, we urge you to review the service offered by this individual. Her role is one that is responsible for setting the tone of customers' experiences in your hotel. Her dismissive attitude not only played spoilsport but also risks tainting your otherwise commendable reputation. We earnestly wish that no other guests have to endure such an unpleasant encounter. This regrettable incident has us reevaluating our association with Courtyard properties. If appropriate action is not taken promptly, we fear that there might be a considerable dip in your loyal customer base. We sincerely hope our grievances are taken into serious account, paving the way for an enhanced experience at your establishment."
"In order to board the shuttle at the SeaTac airport that takes you to the hotel you must be able to recite the hotel's address to the shuttle driver or he will not let you board, which is very strange. The lobby is very nice and the check in staff are very helpful, friendly, and impressively efficient. The room is nice and the fitness center is open 24 hours. This hotel is within walking distance of a Taco Bell and a Jack In The Box and is next door to a 7-11 and just beyond that a gas station. Conveniently close to the airport the shuttle runs every half hour and you can put your name down for pick up but they don't check the list so I'm not sure it's worth doing."
"The only good thing about this hotel is its proximity to the airport. However even that is canceled out by the fact that the shuttle never arrived to the airport to get us, we called multiple times and the front desk never picked up. At check in the girl was FaceTiming someone while checking me in (I find that extremely rude). Oh, and when asked about the shuttle and that we called, she admittedly said she doesn’t pick up the phone when it’s this late (it was 9 pm). No recognition of status, no free waters. The room was renovated but don’t be fooled, it was not clean at all. My toilet was gross, there were stains on the bedside tables and surfaces. My heat was broken. The rooms are very loud. You can hear the planes very clearly. And the bathroom the piping has a water rushing sound every few moments that sounds like your toilet is flushing. Very annoying when you’re trying to sleep. In the morning there’s no free coffee, and they “stop” serving coffee past 10 am (asked for coffee at 9:50 am and the waiter told me they close at 10 and refused to take the order). Basically this hotel isn’t worth it, the renovations look nice in the photos but there are much better options in the area that are at a minimum much cleaner. Not coming back."
