Cabinet Fantastic

"We have worked with Dan on 2 major projects. His attention to detail and professionalism is the reason why we went back to him for our kitchen remodel. He worked with us showing our kitchen layout with his software, making tweaks as we went along. Dan did a walk through with us in the end to make sure we were happy with every detail. He did everything from cabinets, quartz counter, kitchen pulls, and configurations around our appliances. This remodel has been a dream of ours and we can't thank Dan enough for making it effortless. We won't even shop around for our next project we will just call Cabinet Fantastic. We look forward to working with Dan again in the future."

"Be very wary of using Cabinet Fantastic but particularly getting Crown Cabinets, a brand that Cabinet Fantastic recommends. Although, they say they have a warranty, they don’t. Crown just says every defect is within their tolerance (see images). Dan he wrote down and ordered the wrong brand of cabinet. He says he presented evidence that he didn’t, but he just showed papers with the wrong brand written down. He said we picked the Yorktowne cabinets prior to even entering his office to pick cabinets. I’m not sure how that could even occur. The Yorktowne was the only sample that we held up next to the countertop and flooring choices. I have texts with pictures of these choices we were supposed to have ordered. These were sent while in his office and immediately after leaving his office. I am not sure how he could even come up with the other brand, which he says he recommended after a discussion on price that didn’t occur and because they had a very similar looking finish. They do not. The only other cabinet brand we considered ordering was the Medallion cabinets that we chose in our 2017 kitchen remodel in our old house. Once we went into his office, we saw the Yorktowne and switched to that brand. He was unable to think of any ways to fix the issue. When I gave him some ideas and I told him I was even willing to partially pay for the fix so he did not have to pay out of his pocket, he refused this also. His response was that we signed the order. When a person says they want a certain cabinet brand and shows that cabinet to a cabinet specialist, a reasonable person would expect that the cabinet specialist would write down and, therefore, order the correct brand of cabinet. Somehow, I was supposed to know all the cabinet brands and styles and double check his work. He responds that his memory is different from ours, but we only looked at one cabinet once we got to his office. On the day we chose the cabinet, he put the cabinet sample we chose next to a flooring and countertop sample, and we told him that is what we wanted. Despite him later telling me he thought we ordered fixtures from someone else, we held up fixtures to the cabinet sample we had chosen on the same day we chose the cabinet. We commented on how the fixtures highlighted the cabinet, and we ordered them from him the same day as the cabinet. In addition to ordering the wrong cabinets, he did also order the wrong fixtures, but we were able to send them back and order the correct ones. I am really disappointed that he is not willing to stand by or take responsibility for his work despite spending more than 35,000 dollars on cabinets. It is a lot of money to not have the kitchen that you thought your ordered. I am unable to recommend this business due to the inability to trust the work done on something so expensive and the unwillingness to attempt to come up with a solution to remediate the error. Unless you know enough about cabinets to check his work, this is just too much money to take chances with something you expect to be your dream kitchen for years to come. Regarding Crown specifically: Make sure that you don’t get the Crown cabinets that Dan sells in his office. Their quality control and customer support are awful. A bunch of the cabinets we received were all scratched up, and one was warped so the door would not close completely. Dan told us that the warping and scratches were all within the tolerance so they would not be covered by the warranty. Then, after we obtained new doors, the new ones were worse than the originals. They didn’t match. One had a huge stain. One the contractor didn’t even install. That was the only one that they replaced under warranty. Apparently uninstallable is the line where the warranty will cover replacement. Some cabinets didn’t come with shelves, and when we got them the coating was peeling off. It was a disaster. It is quite convenient that the company who offers the warranty can decide that a 12 inch scratch in the center of the door is not bad enough to be covered under the warranty."

"Dan provided pre-purchase counsel to us as to the various options, pitfalls, and practical value choices that we could consider. His advice was beyond helpful when navigating a product and technical realm outside our knowledge. Responsive, timely, supportive and quick to provide assistance if any component that was shipped was incorrect or needed attention. The cabinets and counters are gorgeous !!"

"Dan was wonderful to work with on our kitchen remodel. He came highly recommended from our general contractor as an alternative to a local DIY store. He met our budget and was able to give us a higher quality and style then the DIY store. Since we had the original 1978 kitchen we planned on doing quite a bit of work. But with Dan's experience, honesty, and patience, we had a beautiful result. We highly recommend Dan and a visit to his showroom!"
