Reviews of Code Ninjas Bethany
"I registered my kid to the "Become a YouTuber" 5 days summer camp host by Code Ninjas Bethany from July 24th to 28th, they failed our expectation badly. This is the review for parents new to Code Ninjas, who may wonder what the quality of the camp is, I can tell you that kids probably won't be able to edit video independently after camp finishes. No syllabus, handout or slides will be delivered even if you request for them. Camp starts at 8:30am and ends at 3:30pm, kids are using the laptops they provide to play online video games or watching videos for the majority of the time. There are 3 to 4 college students acting as class instructors (not sure if certificated or not) for 19 students, you can imagine the quality of these classes. Was frustrated that my kid told me he did not learn much nor enjoy the camp, he could not even reproduce uploading video on YouTube after the first 3 days of classes concluded. Then I escalated to the office manager, only after that they taught my kid how to add captions and basic transition the very last day. We spent the full amount of $450 in return for 5 to 6 YouTube videos of screen capturing my kid playing video games, by far it is the worst summer camp we ever joined. We are surprised to see all the 5-star reviews for Code Ninjas Bethany, wondering if the regular classes and summer camp are hosted by different instructors. Regardless, I won't be interested sending my kid to this location. Again, for parents who have not done their homework yet, you have better options then sending your kids to the summer camp run by Code Ninjas, way better."
"The programs are fun and engaging! My daughter is challenged with each new task. She feels a great sense of accomplishment when she submits a new project and looks forward to tackling the next one. She very much enjoys Code Ninjas and hopes to be a Sensei one day!"
"My daughter has loved her experience at Code Ninjas. Love that she's learning to code all while having fun, and getting to move up through the Code Ninja levels is a good motivator. Flexible drop in hours are great too, so we can fit it in when it works for our schedule. Would recommend!"
"My son loves Code Ninjas. We’ve done a couple of the camps here and he can’t wait to go back. The staff are extremely knowledgeable and make sure that everyone is learning at their own pace. They have been great mentors for my budding coder and he is always excited about spending his day there."
"The past year's remote learning hasn't worked for my 2 sons (ages 7 and 9) and I have been searching for alternatives. My boys wanted to do something "fun" and I wanted something that would stimulate the learning centers of their brain. That's when we discovered Code Ninjas! I was a little skeptical that more computer time was the answer but after the free trial sessions, my boys were so excited to join. They love the flexibility of the drop-in sessions and the self-paced learning structure. I really appreciate the GREAT communication and the thoughtful approach to engaging the kids in learning. In addition to the coding curriculum, my boys are also getting practice being back in an in-person environment which is going to help them transition to school in the Fall. There is an online portal that I can log in to and see my kids projects which is a great way to see their progress. The new Bethany location is a great space with good Covid safe protocols in place."
