"Sign on door says “appointments only” despite website and Google info saying walk-ins are welcome. This morning they were unprepared to open as expected; the tech indicated she “didn’t have the password” and was therefore unable to use the computer. Very strange that there would be one password shared among techs."
"Set an appointment on the Labcorp website. Drove for 30 minutes to find a pink sign on their door saying this location is temporarily closed!! Total incompetence!!"
"This seems to be par for the course for this facility which means they aren’t trying to improve. I had an appointment set, drove an hour only to find that I could not sign in and there was no staff to administer the testing I required. I’m not sure if it’s only this location of Labcorp because I went to the silverdale location and was in and out as a walk-in in only 15 minutes."
"I had scheduled an afternoon appointment as they recommended, but had hoped to pop in earlier in the morning as a walk in because of a very busy schedule. I had an upcoming appointment, so didn’t have much time. I didn’t want to give up my PM appt if I wouldn’t have enough time in the AM. I tried to explain this to the receptionist, Donna, but she immediately cut me off (twice) and directed me to a virtual checkin station. I did as she insisted, but when she called me up to finish the check in: 1. My order faces had somehow come across “squished” together and she needed them faxed again. She repeated this several times in a rude, condescending tone despite watching me pull out my phone right away to call the doctor. 2. She hadn’t noticed this issue until I was waiting 3. She ignored me when I told her I would be happy to just do the remainder which had to be done prior to starting a new medication that same evening that would effect those specific results otherwise 4. She refused to give me even a rough estimation for how long it would take her to look up the order codes; when I asked if I could help in anyway she rudely snapped back. And 5. I was unable to stay due to the wait time, which was my original question she cut me off from asking 6. MY SCHEDULED APPOINTMENT WAS AUTOMATICALLY CANCELLED after she refused to speak to me until I “checked in” and by the time I got done being subjected to her dismissive disrespect MY APPOINTMENT HAD BEEN TAKEN BY SOMEONE ELSE 7. SHE REFUSED TO RESCHEDULE THE APPOINTMENT SHE FORCED ME TO CANCEL JUST TO ASK A QUESTION She was blatantly rude to everyone who walked through the door. She was short with every. single. person. She needs to either be relieved of her position, systematically retrained and closely supervised afterwards, or given three other employees to help her so she doesn’t become so irritable. The public should not have to compromise in their healthcare just because medical care options are limited. We are human and deserve respect. Many of us are going through serious health crises, and these sorts of interactions/stressors are somehow worse than the invasive procedures. Front end staff are the gatekeepers to American healthcare. This woman was also a phlebotomist herself, which is a terrifying thought. A 2.5/5.0 rating is unacceptable. This is the second bad experience I’ve had at this clinic, and I will be contacting her supervisor and the BBB. TL/DR: Staff member was rude, disrespectful, and dismissive. O/5"
"My OB sent me here to have my blood drawn for my one hour gestational diabetes test at 25 weeks pregnant. I checked the hours beforehand and saw that they were closed from 12:30-1:30 PM for lunch. Wanting to give some time and knowing they may be a few minutes late coming back from their lunch hour, I took my drink at 12:51 PM so that I would be due for my blood draw at 1:51 PM. I showed up at 1:30 and waited in the line that had formed outside. By 1:50, no one had shown up and this was a timed test. I walked over to my OB’s office and informed them of what was happening so I could figure out next steps. They told me to see if anyone was back in 10 minutes, and by 2:05 PM, there was still no one there. Now I get to drink that gross drink again and redo the whole process. If you are going to have set hours, you need to make sure they are honored or simply do by appointment only. Also understand that people have timed blood draws that they cannot be late for. Absolutely infuriating to say the least."
