"Kind, fair and helpful"
"When we decided to replace the countertop in 1 of our bathrooms, we went to Tonstone Building Supply because it's located close to our home. Peter Ton (owner/ manager) was very friendly, professional & helpful in helping us select quartz for the countertops & new sinks. The price he quoted was WAY lower than what we had received from the nearby "big box" stores. While they may not have as large of a variety of choices for materials as some other places, we were able to select items that suited our taste (which is pretty basic). Within a few days, 2 workers from Tonstone came to make measurements, & a day or 2 later, they came with the finished countertop & sink to install. It was beautiful! We were so pleased our new quartz countertop with it that we decided to do the same thing in another bathroom. The 2nd experience with Tonstone was the same- very prompt, pleasant & great outcome! We highly recommend Tonstone to anyone who is looking to replace a countertop in their home. When we make plans to replace the countertop in our 3rd bathroom, & eventually in our kitchen, there's no question that we'll return to Tonstone!"
"Went there to get a piece of stone cut or buy another ended up getting my piece cut and he did it for free very nice guys I will definitely go back again excellent service. Go check it out for yourself you won't be disappointed thanks guys"
"I was referred by some i work with so i thought id be worth a call. Peter was friendly enough and seemed to understand what i had in mind. So we decided to have him over for a bid. We are extremely busy, so setting aside time is difficult but we made it happen. I call the guy after he is late and he wouldn't be there for another 20-30 min. That wouldnt work as we squeezed him in between two apts that day. So we had to reschedule for later that day. Having come over, taken full review of project he promised me the bid by that Friday which didnt happen. I call and text with no response for days. Finally responding to my multiple attempts, i get a text saying he will get the bid by the end of that week. Didnt happen. This guys leaves town on holiday, doesnt respond again for weeks when finally getting on a phone call promising that when he gets back in town that he would deliver the bid. Didnt happen. This was in november. Its now middle of February. My project put off for months waiting for this referred contractor. Its been an absolute waste of time and patience. I finally messaged Peter again and told him how unprofessional its been to work with him. I mentioned it would have been nice to know if he didnt want to do the job rather than leading me on with nonesense for months. Absolutely zero response. Unbelievable!! I told the person who referred him how awful it's been. Other people i work with jumped in to hear details. Peter has told me everything i needed to hear to shut me the hell up like its some kind of game to him. Its literally been a terrible experience. He tells you what you need to hear and then blows you off altogether. I would say do not waste your time calling Peter or Ton Stone. I read a positive review here but i think its bogus or a fake review. You would have to get him to show up or even respond to have a positive experience. Peter when you read this, have some proffesional courtesy and personal dignity when working with your customer base. You shop is filthy, it's in shambles, your entire presentation is a fail and you are totally unprofessional. You've wasted months of my progress because i trusted you. Shame on you Peter and shame on Ton Stone."
"We just remodeled a home in Gresham and from the flooring to cabinets and finishing the granite counter tops Tonstone was a pleasure to deal with and you won't beat the price or workmanship."
