"We used Cross for over four years. We had our home, vehicles, and property all heavily insured. We filed two claims in that time. One claim, we had an HVAC system leak that caused some water damage. And one because I bumped into a pole in a gas station with my 34' trailer on the way home from purchasing it. That's the first "at fault" accident either my wife and I have every had in four decades. This last year, 2023, we were told we were being cancelled by the current insurer we had because of that claim, which was almost two years ago. Our response was, "well that seems pretty extreme but, ok. Find us another insurer." Seemed simple enough, and we had plenty of time. I was very clear with our agent that I did not want to wait until the last second and end up being stressed and rushed to find another company. They kept delaying and putting it off telling me they would find someone and take care of it, not to worry. Well, it got right down to the end of the deadline, and then when I called, stressed out and panicked, they wouldn't even give me the respect of returning my call! I had to scrambled myself to try and find a new company. And praise the Lord! Right at the last minute, literally, I was able to get that done. In fact, I got a better policy with better coverage and lower rates! So, no, I do not recommend Cross Insurance. They will let you down when you need them the most. And that is exactly why we pay for insurance in the first place, isn't it? To depend on them when we need them! Do yourself a big favor, save yourself stress, and go with a better company right off the bat."

"I have been with this agency for YEARS, I ask so little of them; I just pay my premiums and go on my merry way. Then my son got a permit and I called them to ask what are my next steps. They told me to add him to my policy and that until he got his license, my premiums wouldn't be affected. Well that's only for minors, as it turns out. I added him to my policy as a permitted driver and my premiums increased over $100. When I called Cross agency to ask what had happened, they needed to call Progressive to find out, they couldn't tell me. A different insurance agency actually explained to me what happened. I complain to Cross about the misinformation and one of the agents says oh, here's two options that will result in lower premiums for you. I'm interested so I ask for some details, I get no answer. A week goes by, I follow up and a sales person reaches out to me, says my inquiry was passed to her and she sends me a detailed quote that is much higher than the original agent quoted me. I point that out and she goes 'oh, that was without your son being rated, here's the right one' and it's astronomically higher than the original quote, the second quote or even my current policy!! This place is disorganized and unprofessional. They are playing with people's money and they don't seem to take anything seriously, even an unhappy customer."
