Pizzeria La Sorrentina 3000 Southeast 164th Avenue, Vancouver, WA 98683

"La Sorrentina has been our favorite local pizza spot since they opened. It is the closest thing that we have found to true authentic Neapolitan pizza. The pizza and the service have always been amazing. Until today. Today we were informed that “per the new policy” there are no additions, substitutions, or ability to purchase sides. Due to the “head chef seeking an award”, items on the menu will be ordered as is only. Absolutely no changes. Don’t get me wrong, their pizza is very good, but be forewarned there is absolutely no room for customization—even at a fee which of course we have always been happy to pay. It should not be an issue to simply add an ingredient (which is readily available as it is on other pizzas) to a pizza. I hope the award makes the chef happy, because as customers we were certainly disappointed. I will also note that in all our visits, today was the first time we haven’t had a single person from the staff ask how it was—almost like they didn’t want to know. We would have happily shared our opinion instead of posting here. We visited 3/3/24"

"I really wanted to like this place. I really enjoy a wood fired pizza. To start off,I tried to order carry out twice, and the voice mail said that they were busy and could only do dine in. So we went to the restaurant, and we're seated almost immediately. Very nice. We then waited for our waitress, Nicole S. for 15 minutes to place our order. The whole time we waited, we watched our waitress talk to the same table without a glance I our direction, and watched another employee talk 3 carry out orders while we waited. It wasn't very busy in the restaurant. When our waitress finally came over, I asked for carry out instead of dine in. The food came out in about 15 minutes, and we took it home. This food was so SAD. Soggy but burned crust, bland ,flavorless, sauce was basically tomatoe paste. Service and food was terrible."

"The pizza is great. The pasta is not that good. The Italian beer was perfect (PERONY). The smell of the place is amazing. The chairs are not comfortable. And the waiting time to get seated is ridiculous, even though there was an empty table for almost a 30 minutes. Again, the pizza was so perfect, we ordered another one to take home."

"I've wanted to try Sorrentina for some time. I'm glad I did. Ordered 2 pies; Margherita DOC and the sausage and onions. The flavors were delicious. They were light and refreshing. Next time, I'm going to dine in and ask them to cook the crust (which is extremely thin) just a bit longer."

"Glad we finally decided to stop by this local pizzeria- been craving for Napoli’s pizza since my last visit in Naples. I ordered Sausage Onion off their menu and it surely did not disappoint. The wait time for our food was the only draw back, but nonetheless their delicious pizza made all the difference. (We’ve gone back 3x since my first review and found another fave item off their menu: Terra Mia- Amazing! Briefly saw the owner and chef: very welcoming and friendly guy. Very pleased to have this restaurant in town! Thank you! Highly recommend!"
