"Nice apartment overall, the homeless make it feel a little unsafe its becoming a problem. One got in our car one night when we were just sitting in it."
"For my time living at this apartment complex, it was wonderful! ~Never really had to worry about parking, only once in a while I would have to park on the hill next to the building. ~Any maintenance issues (such as a plugged drain), was handled quickly and efficiently! ~The landlord was super nice and genuinely seemed happy to see you at any passing point! ~Relatively quiet of an apartment complex (depending on your neighbors but still pretty great!). ~The laundry machines were wonderful and quick, as long as you didn't try to overfill it! So, just like every other laundry machine! :P ~Hot water was never really an issue unless you showered around 9am or 5pm (kind of obvious as to why those times) but it really kept up well. ~Views! Depending on which side of the building you live on: On one side, you could watch the Canal Park Bridge and large boats passing through! On the other, was a nice wooded area where deer, birds, squirrels, bunnies, (you name it) roamed around for endless hours of entertainment. I loved it. Also, this past Christmas there was a fun and creative contest for folks to decorate their doors. That was a brilliant way to check out the creative minds around the complex and get to know the neighbors. Highly recommend participating in that if it comes around again!"
"The landlord was super rude and had a lot of favorites she could never say anything nicely first! She also never showed to our moved out time and did not answer then phone or text so we had to just leave! I would love contact with the higher up because we did go back to clean the garbage and there was nothing wrong with it that was above the normal wear and tear and that’s not an excuse for her not to show up and to get zero response from her to this day!!"
"I've lived here a few years now and have had no problems with anything said in poor reviews it's quiet here and I can get a hold of the property manager anytime I need anything done. I've had to have maintenance come in for a clogged sink and he took care of it within 24 hours and was super fast and also cleaned up the little bit of water he got on the floor even when I said it was okay because I was planning on bleaching the floors that day. The property manager has been nothing but wonderful when I've needs anything she has pointed me in the right direction since I am not originally from here she has given me helpful tips and tricks for dealing with the winters here and what not."
"I was at Glen Place for almost 3 years. Only issues were in the beginning setting up internet; apparently we weren't wired in and CenturyLink was absolutely horrible about setting up service, but now our particular unit is hooked up with Charter (where we got at least 50 mbps). Otherwise, under the previous property manager, there was a lot of confusion on parking; many of the older tenants still believed they had assigned parking and I was left a few notes on my windshield because of that. I think Karl really improved the place, especially since he is also a resident. Almost immediately after he started working there, he began to add more mailboxes outside and add a shelter, along with fixing some of the concrete steps and railings. AND debunking the idea that assigned parking was still a thing. The rest of my experience at Glen Place was great. None of my appliances broke or needed servicing; the move in and move out process was without hassle. My cats (and their claws!) were welcome, too, and the unit was a reasonable price for a large 2 bedroom (keep in mind all utilities are included!). I should also note I was a "good" tenant; always paid rent on time, was quiet, clean, if I was unsure I could do something I asked first. Karl is very, very reasonable and understanding if you are a good tenant. The area is good, right on a bus line and near downtown. It takes about 30 minutes to get to UMD via bus. The only complaint about the area is the highway can be a little loud if the windows are open. All-in-all I think my three years there was very nice, and I wished I could have finished college living there (had to move because of internship)."
