Duluth Inn & Suites Near Spirit Mountain

"This used to be one of the better places to stay but it's really not worth it any more. We had a second floor room and it was loud you could hear doors closing throughout the hotel, some doors would rattle the room and even shake the bed. The doors weren't even being slammed just closed like normal. The hallways and lobby smell very very strong of chemicals and chlorine. The rooms look recently painted but whoever did it, did a poor job. It needs a complete remodel as it just seems real cheap, and not just a bandaid paint job. As much as I used to like staying here I don't think I need to come back sadly."

"Our typical hotel in Duluth was unavailable for our most recent trip, so I decided to try this property out… I will likely not return… it took a while for the front desk to show up after ringing the bell, the room was incredibly small and dated and dark with paint/wallpaper peeling and half the window treatments gone…it needs more lighting… then the shower while it had decent water pressure, halfway through the shower the shower head changed stream from the outer nozzles to the inner nozzles, it was weird and the hot water could easily scald someone if they weren’t paying attention…. The other concern is the pool area… we used both the pool and hot tub, the pool was freezing and the hot tub jets were way overpowered and we left the hot tub with our legs feeling like jell-o, it was a really uncomfortable feeling…. But my biggest complaint is the breakfast, the attendant had her whole family it appeared working with her, her little son and even her dog, in a public food service area, especially since the hotel doesn’t even allow pets… this really shouldn’t be happening…. The whole place needs work, and maybe more formal training… for paying nearly $200 a night directly from the Choice Hotel app I really expected a more presentable place all around."

"We stayed the weekend and frankly I'm sick of these sports families taking over the hotel. Hot tub is filled, The parents are all wasted, and the hotel is super noisy. It's not the hotel fault that these weekends turn out to be a drunk fest. First time we stayed at the hotel. Good location outside of town. The hotel could use some updating. The beds were comfortable. We did not try the food mostly because I saw a kid sneeze on top of the hot food being served. This place is a great location. Next to gas station a McDonald's and the ski hill. It doesn't appear to be a lot of parking. Parked in the back of the building and the doors were unable to be used to get in. Did see a lot of mop buckets and garbage in front of the doors. The next morning there were signs saying that the doors were not accessible."

"We stayed here two weeks ago to celebrate our mini moon! The room was clean and a whirlpool tub but the jets didn't work. It was still a nice bath though! We had asked for our garbage to be taken out and that wasn't done but overall it was a good experience! The breakfast choices were great! I would definitely stay here again! It only takes 10 minutes to get into Duluth and you're right off the highway but you don't hear any of the highway noise at night!"
