UW Health University Station Clinic Optical

"If Covid 19 was a place, this would be it! Absolutely filthy, which seems to be the common theme at UW health clinics. Went in for an eye exam and they charge $150 just for using being in the clinic “to pay their rent” which is not covered by insurance and then a separate fee for the service you’re being provided, almost $500 for an eye exam. The prescription I was given was wrong and the nurse seemed pretty rushed through the exam so I was not surprised, I called to get rechecked and asked if I will be charged they said no rechecks are free. Come to find out I was charged more than the initial eye exam for the recheck."

"The service and care shown by everyone there has been exceptional. Our son (6 years old) has PTSD and the ladies here have been very gentle, patient, and friendly. He won't go anywhere else and we won't try. They also help adjusting our glasses without an appointment when my frames loosen or his no longer really fit his growing face."

"we needed to be gone by a certain time to pick up my sister from daycare. we were here much early and was even late. i was exhausted enough and this made me very very angry. i’ve been here before and it took 4 hours just to check up my eyes. obviously right now we are waiting"

(The Eye Care Clinic staff have been excellent, as well.) "I probably would never go back let alone recommend anyone to come here. I literally waited for my husband for over 2+ hrs just to find out that he was just sitting in the room in the back the whole time and he tried to tell the nurses that he had a time limit the nurses told him that a doctor can get to you when they can. Overall just a very horrible experience and it happens evrytime he comes here."
