"absolutely 0 stars. Noel Loseau has avoided me since one of their clients rear ended me in AUGUST. I just got off the phone with her and she refused to help me and told me to fix it through my insurance if I don't want to wait- if only I could afford to fix my car after THEIR client damaged it. She is absolutely the worst insurance agent I have EVER experienced."
"This company prioritizes profit over people. Long story short: An amfam insurance holder turned into my vehicle a month ago. I didn't call the police or make a report since the driver followed me to a safe turn off spot so we could exchange info and not block traffic. That was my mistake. I filed a claim with this company 2 hours after being hit and the agent told me it would be my word against the other drivers since no police report was made. So the other driver disputed my claim saying that I veered into her so the agent would not approve my claim. Amfam did not put any merit to my argument that their client was lying because their client had never filed a claim with my insurance. Nor were they interested in a receipt I had an hour after the accident proving what direction I was going which would disprove their clients claim that I hit them or the fact that I had a passenger in the car with me who saw the whole accident. The agent I worked with from amfam was nice and professional and she was very straightforward with me from the start. Unfortunately for me the Company policy is to not investigate claims if no police report is filed, As if the police are an infallible institution that can empirically find fault in accidents they didn't see happen. Here's what I should have done going forward: stop at the accident scene blocking traffic, Call police no matter how minor the damage, Treat the other driver as a potential criminal, invest in a dashcam. This is the world we live in now."
"My agent was completely and utterly negligent. Charged random amounts, I got daily letters that policies were changing after I had already signed all the paperwork, horrible communication and gave multiple instances of misinformation."
"Terrible company to work for. Six weeks of training, 3rd week on calls with hardly any guidance. You can’t understand adjusters notes, and majority of the time the adjuster is simply not available or on vacation. In turn, you’re stuck with an angry customer 90% of the time wanting to speak with either your manager or the adjusters manager. The escalation process just pisses off the customer even more, because again you have to schedule a call back there’s no manager readily available to handle your call. Agents from the SAME company you work for call you and disrespect you, treat you like garbage and expect you to answer their questions pretty much about anything. Every customer calling in regard to an existing claim expects you to know everything about it right off the bat. It’s a joke. The company is a joke. They handle claims terribly and expect you to take the heat for it."
"Incredibly disappointed. in Am Fam as a whole. I received a speeding ticket for 11 miles over the speed limit last September, as a result my auto insurance was going to increase 52% when I received my renewal. This is absurd, a DUI is 70-80% increase in premiums, my 11 mph ticket was deemed nearly as high?? I found new insurance a day later cheaper than my old rate, even with the ticket through State farm. PLUS SF will only hold the ticket for 3 years vs Am Fam's 5 years. Shop elsewhere. This was the second time giving them a chance. Both time rates were good in the beginning, and a couple years later I started paying through the nose. Avoid and go elsewhere."
