"Things started off well, the unit they placed us at in SLC was very clean, modern, and well equipped. However, the facility management did an inspection after we were there only a few days and we pointed out a few maintenance issues (including all fluorescent lights in garage burned out), and nothing was maintained over 4 weeks. Nomad also charged an excessive fee of $500 for me to keep my 2 small, old oodle dogs with me. They don’t shed and don’t destroy anything and weigh around 20 lbs only. No extra cleaning required for them. That $500 should have been a refundable deposit but it’s not. When I asked for an extension they said it should be fine, but the. A few days later said someone else already was booked into my unit but I could move out into another one and the same complex. Why couldn’t the other person move in to the available unit? That became quite stressful because I’m in the middle of learning a new job, moving to a new city, etc and then had to figure out where my family and I would be sleeping! I also go an email from them saying that Salt Lake City was a remote destination and they had limited corporate housing options. Wow, a capital city with >1 million people is remote? We just moved here from a town with a population of 8,000 people….I find it very unprofessional that they clearly don’t have stock, connections, or relationships in this region (no local reps or offices here) and say it’s “remote”. Ultimately I don’t think Nomad is a good match to support people relocating to SLC. in the end I moved out into an AirBnB and my company supported it. It’s just a shame because they pay nomad for a service which didn’t help me with an extension and I had to invest time and energy to source my own accommodation during my corporate move."
"Initial review: I just got to temp housing a week ago. My wife and I have attempted to reach out to our specific agent to better understand the new complex, get keys, and inquire about other things that will help our move across the country that relates to the apt complex. I’ve been able to get in touch with the main number but they continue to insist that I wait for my agent, which I’ve done via email AND phone. Even if there was at least some sort of acknowledgement, this wouldn’t be such a big deal. NOMAD makes this process so much worse. I’ll update if my experience gets better."
"I am really thankful to Nomad for their excellent service during my month stay in River Terrace apartment (Santa Clara, CA) recently. I forgot some of my important belongings in a drawer when I vacated River Terrace. I was so happy when I got them parceled by Nomad at my doorstep. Special thanks to John Szpakowski and Kelly Petranoff. 5 star Service."
"My wife and I stayed at a Nomad apartment just outside of Detroit for a few months in 2016 and it was a generally positive experience. The corporate side of things could be a little irritating at times but the actual apartment and the local team who helped us with out with a few things were always wonderful to deal with! We'd without a doubt stay with Nomad again. Hope this helps!"
"We stayed at a Nomad corporate apartment for three months. The apartment has a broken refrigerator that freezes all of our food. The bathroom fan doesn't work. The dryer had to be replaced. All the furniture is the lowest quality possible. Kitchen utensils are lowest quality from Walmart. The rate is also extraordinarily high and they require 60 day notice to vacate."
