Holiday Inn Express San Diego-Sea World Area, an IHG Hotel

"We enjoyed our stay! We were traveling with bicycles and the kind staff accommodated us in a huge room that fit our bikes perfectly. Great breakfast spread too for a hotel breakfast- eggs, bacon, sausage, pancakes, cinnamon rolls, fruit juices, cereal, bagels and veggie omelettes. Only con is at night the area is a little sketchy and feels a tad unsafe to walk. Lots of homeless in the area but that’s a San Diego problem really!"

"The staff at this Inn are so welcoming!! Everyone is kind, smiling and helpful. From the front desk, all shifts, to the lady making sure everything is ready for breakfast and the shuttle driver. Our flight was cancelled and he came and got us as soon as we called. I highly recommend this Holiday Inn. Oh, the rooms are very nice too!"

"Location is good if you're going to spend time at Sea World, downtown or Coronado Island. Lots to see and do within a 15 to 20 minute drive. But I wish we had gotten a room on the front side of the building because I-8 is on the back side and we heard plenty of highway noise at night and early morning. Glad we didn't hear dogs barking from the dog daycare nearby as a number of reviewers pointed out. Room was clean. Beds comfortable. Staff very friendly and helpful. But one of our nights there someone in the room next to us was coughing their lungs out and we could hear every cough. Lots of kids/families were there. Breakfast decent but too small an area when busy. Parking garage is very tight, caters to small vehicles mostly. We parked on the street."

"Loved love this hotel! The beds are extremely comfortable and all the bedding. The bathrooms are just OK. The water pressure is very low and they looked outdated. Only a dinky dinky bar of soap to wash hands. I would recommend a much larger bar of soap! However, Yazmin was the best! She’s the manager here. She helped our family in so many ways. Gave us all kinds of places and suggestions to go in Mexico and she was really good with all the guest staying here! Thank you Yazmin!"

"The garage is not sufficient for modern 2023 cars,,it is striped for 1973 compact and full size which No one has anymore. Came here with kids and grandchildren for Thanksgiving vacation to relax an every night have been worked up being pestered about where the car is parked or how the car is parked even though it is in the lines tightly. Never coming here again even though the rooms are nice. So disappointed in IHG."
