Via Ventura Apartments

"Beautiful floor plans, but that is all that's good about via ventura. The management company named "fusion" is probably the worst management company I have ever had to be involved with. They border the line between what is illegal/legal in terms of fees and rent increases. There have been MANY complaints about them. They work with a tree cutting/ lawn maintance company and do WAY MORE WORK THAN IS NECESSARY on the grounds. It's incredibly sketchy and i believe this is a possible overtime work fraud scheme because they work hand to hand with this company. It is super loud and noisy and bothers everyone. Nobody wants/needs this noise pollution. The toilets in every unit malfuction/don't flush well. The maintenance crew consists of two guys. You are forced to use spectrum for internet/TV services and they are an absolutely horrible company to deal with. The wifi routers they give you are so powerful that I can still be connected to my router while walking across the street. These are dangerous to human health and the world health organization labeled wifi radiation as "possibly carcinogenic" There are extremely high levels of electro magnetic frequencies here due to every unit's wifi router and 59 CELL PHONE TOWERS WITHIN 5 MILES of this place and i feel physically terrible living here. My anxiety/depression is 10x worse because of these EMF's I wish I never moved here and will be getting out soon. For all legal purposes, this is a fictional story and none of what I said is real."

"Two stars for the property itself. It's old but in a nice neighborhood with a beautiful bank of very large eucalyptus trees along the front. Zero stars for property management and the deceitful tactics they use. I know my lease inside and out and I'm aware of tenants rights. I have to call them out all the time for trying to sneak in fees. The only way they back off is when I mention a lawsuit. They also grossly mismanage funds. Our dryer vents and air filters have not been cleaned in the 4+ years that I've lived here. Path lights are always out. Roof tiles are falling off. Plumbing is always a problem and their obsession with cutting down trees is unexplainable other than they have ties to the tree trimming company and kickbacks are involved. Windows are inoperable and management won't fix them. The list goes on."

"I don't live in this apartment “so thankful” but I already had a horrible experience with the parking there, every time I go to visit someone they put a note on my car for parking in a public spot !!!! Where should I park??? Plus the neighbors there are worse, rude, and a pain in the a**, they don’t mind their business they will harass you as they have the permit to annoy anyone just for parking there for a visit, today I had to deal with a Karen for 5 minutes with a stupid conversation explaining for her that I have my newborn with me and I’m just visiting so I want to park in this public spot!! Like who are you? And what is your position to talk to me? Aren’t people allowed to have their families or friends for a couple hours for a visit !!! This is unacceptable and shameful. Managers should watch out for their residents and figure it out for the visitor's parking."

"I have lived at Via Ventura since August 2019 and I have had a great experience here. My first year, I lived in a lovely one bedroom, then moved into a 2 bedroom (over 1100 sq ft!) which I absolutely love and just renewed the lease on for a 3rd year. Upon moving here, I looked at all apartments in Ventura and couldn’t find anywhere else I liked as much as Via Ventura (other than very expensive apartments on the water). I like that these buildings are only two floors and the whole vibe of the area is nice vs a lot of the new modern apartment complexes with tons of levels and interior corridors. In unit washer/dryer, central A/C and hard flooring was important to me. I also love the open floor plan. large walk in closets, and the nest thermostat. Bedrooms are good size too! There is not keyless entry though as mentioned on the website - they need to update that. Most units have kitchens with tile (not granite) but I don’t mind as the appliances are updated and there is ample storage and a pantry space. Maintenance here has always been very good and they address problems quickly. The amazon locker is nice to have to keep packages secure and they did a nice upgrade to the gym during my time here as well. I love the spacious patio, but I do wish there were an option to have a hose hookup for cleaning purposes. As a single young female, safety is important - I feel safe in the complex at night and there is very good lighting on the property. Photos are a mixture of my previous 1 bedroom and current 2 bedroom units."

"I have lived at Via Ventura Apartments since 2005!! The complex is awesome and maintained beautifully. The apartment is spacious and the plan has 2 bedrooms (both large) and 2 bathrooms which are attached to the bedrooms. Each bedroom has a walk-in closet so there is plenty of room for storage. The pool area is quite nice and there always seems to be chairs available for relaxing and sunning. The complex is quiet and I have met neighbors with whom I have maintained friendships. The maintenance staff is great and they are always available for any kind of repair on the same day. The office staff on premises are helpful and extremely friendly. I would highly recommend Via Ventura Apartments. There is a reason that I have lived here for 17 years!"
