Villas at North Village

"I lived here on two separate occasions each for a year, broken up by 6 months due to me being out of state. There are pros and cons to this place. Pros: -price is alright for what you get, at least for a one bedroom. The other properties around that area are more expensive and usually smaller sq foot wise which I found odd. -Included designated parking spot was nice. -Maintenance responds to work orders very fast, they really are the high light of the staff. Super nice and helpful -I did return my second time so that should say something, or maybe it was just familiar to me and was the easy option. Cons: -A/C broke in the middle of summer for 1.5 months during the heat wave, management really dragged their feet getting it fixed. The drip pan was built not at an angle causing the overflow sensor to trip and shut off the A/C. Not sure if other apartments are built like this but I would imagine people would've complained but who knows. Management did provide a portable A/C unit which got me through summer but that made my energy bill sky rocket, had to fight to get compensated. -My first lease I was on the second floor. My upstairs neighbors must have been very heavy footed because I could hear every single foot step to include their dog running around. I'm a light sleeper so that sucked, but those tenants moved out and the new one moved in they were significantly more quiet. Not sure if it was the floors fault or neighbors. I made sure to be on the top floor my second lease. -Seems like there was always someone smoking weed or cigs even though it's a non-smoking property. Management's solution is to place a paper on everyone's doors reminding them of the no smoking policy, doesn't do much good. -Since I have moved out twice now, they will fleece you on your deposit, especially on the cleaning fee. I scrubbed my apartment up and down both times, spent a full week doing a deep, deep clean. During the move out inspection both times Management said it didn't even look like someone lived here. Then both times I get charged the full cleaning amount. -When I moved in the second time my apartment was dirty. Stains on counters, in drawers, on sinks, hair everywhere. Really gross, but I was so exhausted I just cleaned everything myself. To then be charged the full cleaning fees after moving out is ridiculous. Either fight this when you move out or do the bare minimum, you're going to get charged either way. -Tenants are so/so. Usually there are young kids just running rampant over the summer. Found dirty kid hand prints all over my car once and they drew on my windows with their fingers and I had a bumper sticker ripped off my car pulling paint with it. Also no one cleans up after their pets, but that's not management's fault though. Verdict: Average. Since the price is good I could live with the cons, but you can decide."

"Quiet community and smoke free. Strict policies on picking up pet waste is great and keeps the grounds clean. Occasionally they have community gatherings and holiday contest. Price is a bit above market value but overall a great place to live. Very low crime area and gated. Security cameras are helpful."

"We stayed here for one year (‘21-‘22) while we settled into the area and had an overall great experience. Moving in and out was a smooth process and the girls at the front office were always quick to follow up if we had any questions/concerns."

"We’ve been here for about a year and a half and absolutely love it! We love the staff, the property and the amenities! My husband and I live in the 1 bedroom unit and feel that it’s a great size for a single bedroom apartment. The bathroom also has jack and jill closets, which is a major plus! The area around the complex is nice, quiet and definitely growing! I definitely recommend this property!"
