"Really loud construction everywhere only to spike up the rent prices. Dog waste bins never get cleaned up. Construction workers leave and enter randomly throughout the day without notice. They also leave unsafe materials on the ground when finished with their shifts like nails or dried up chemicals. There isn’t any interior renovation that benefits residents, they definitely don’t improve the soundproofing and are just cosmetic improvements. Edit 2/24/2024: Construction noise is gone now so I bumped up the rating from 2 to 3 stars. The 3 stars is mainly for the quality of the units. Again, there was no interior renovation done from all of the annoying construction and they're all just cosmetic so that the rent can increase. The fiber wiring inside the units have been screwy since two months ago when the maintenance crew touched it. I've asked for repairs constantly such as for door hinges breaking and had to ask for repairs on the same issue since they didn't fix it very well the first time. Overall, these things don't add up to the high rent costs. They're also enforcing parking permits now which is just another way to cash grab."
"Briarwood charges you for guest parking through Reliant Parking. Zero Soundproofing, Car Break-Ins, Cal-Train Horn Noise at night, Union Pacific Train vibration shakes the apartment once a night , but lovely community and townhome layouts. "AVOID THIS APARTMENT AT ALL COSTS. The leasing team is nice so it will make you want to consider the complex during the tour, but I have lived here for ONE month and it has been horrible. In my first two weeks, my unit had no internet because during the renovations (that they try to sell you on in the tour), their contractors tore up the fiber in several spots. Several technicians over multiple days had to work to re-wire the fiber through the entire unit for my apartment to be able to access internet again. Since having moved in, at least two people have mentioned on the community boards that their cars have been broken into. You have to pay a parking fee for each car and your covered car port will be far from your apartment. It hasn’t even been a month, and the apartment next door to me and other apartments in the unit flooded and my unit suffered extensive water damage. They said it was not much damage when they came last week and the leasing agent said today they would “just be stopping by to take the fans” that have been running all weekend. When the service team came today, they ended up tearing up the entire wall and with it they tore the fiber that was JUST replaced. I am extremely disappointed in the leasing team. They told me everything would be done by today, but that was a lie. Now, I have no home internet again and will continue to have no internet until the fiber is replaced again. They pride themselves on being home to many people in tech, yet do not even have reliable internet. There were other issues that I had when moving in, but their team did step in to work through those problems. I am thankful they fixed those maintenance issues, but the continuously disappointing circumstances make this somewhere I would stay FAR AWAY from. I will update my review if I see any progress, but so far this apartment has been horrible."
"We have Miguel C as our service technician coming to our apartment to fix power outlet issue in our apartment living room and bedroom. He is efficient by quickly identifying the issue and coming up with a solution. Thanks for his great work!"
"We have been staying here since last few months. A great experience so far. Feels safe and peaceful. Overall a beautiful view and great maintainence. Just one suggestion : Balconies should not have a gap in the wooden floor because dirt and other things fall from upstairs apartment on the ground floor patio, especially when you are eating."
