"Updating it to 4* because the communication did improve. They also explained why sometimes it’s not possible to have a specific time for entering the units. —————— I’ll preface by saying I love the convenience of living here. The in-person interaction with most of the staffs here has been pleasant. There was only one time when I encountered a rude receptionist (after the management change, and I’ve only seen her once so she might be temporary). However, communication about entering each apt units has been increasingly frustrating. This is the only apartment complex I’ve lived in that would frequently announce the need to enter our apartment unit (for non maintenance reason). Sometimes no one would even show up (ie: for balcony checks), which makes me think that those email aren’t meant for everyone. However, this makes it difficult for me to plan my day. Pet owners might relate the need and desire to be home when there’s a “stranger” entering the house. What if the pet escaped? Cats are escape artists, and one of my cat loves hanging by the door so if one aren’t used to walking around cats, they might accidentally shut the door on them (injuring them). Hence, I would prefer better communication about the approximate time I need to be home. The new management would often give a vague 1 or 2 days timeframe, and are inflexible with scheduling specific timing (like between 9-12pm as opposed to 9am-5pm on both days). The previous management was able to work with me to coordinate a more specific time frame, so I’m not sure why we’re not able to coordinate with the new management. Last time they said they “will try accommodating”, they did not even make it to my unit until 4 hours after my desired timeframe (I was traveling that day so I had asked if they could come in the morning instead). Imagine my paranoia when I saw that the smart lock was unlocked by management while my cat sitter had to step out for late afternoon lunch. After that, they usually just say they can’t accommodate my request for a more specified timeframe. I hope there will be better scheduling coordination in the future. All the other apartments (with even more units to manage) I’ve lived in before were also able to coordinate with me, so I’m sure Loft House can figure out a way if they want to. Otherwise, everything else is going great! Except that the hallway has been stinking up more often after one of my neighbor moved out (he helped contributed to making the hallway smell nice). Love that there are more events recently though."
"What a turnaround it has been since the new management has taken over. I’ve been a resident for several years and I definitely can see the positive changes. The property looks great and I have noticed all the improvements to the building, both aesthetically and functionally. The office staff, Valerie and Denise, has been so pleasant to see and actually connect with. They are both always so friendly and super approachable. Denise has been awesome with communicating with any questions we have and very quick to respond. I highly recommend to live here. Kudos to the new management for their hard work and dedication to this community."
"Look elsewhere! This apartment has the worst management that has absolutely no regard for residents or their living conditions. Many of us tenants had hoped that things would improve with a recent change in management, but the new group is worse than ever. Almost nothing works on site, constant billing errors, and they could not care less."
"Despite Loft House branding itself as a new, luxury residence, their utilities billing system is nothing short of a dealbreaker. In an age where individual metering is standard, Loft House’s decision to split the utilities bill among all residents feels archaic and grossly unfair. I’ve found myself bearing the brunt of collective usage, even during times when I’ve conserved energy or been away. Frankly, it’s a glaring oversight in what’s supposed to be a modern living environment. I had high hopes when the new management company took over in September 2023, but my experience has been nothing short of frustrating and disappointing. It all started when they attempted to bill me for the months of May onwards, which was clearly incorrect. When I brought this issue to their attention, they washed their hands of it, directing me to a third-party they hired and claiming they couldn’t do anything themselves. This level of incompetence and unwillingness to take responsibility for issues that arose due to their takeover of management is simply unacceptable. It’s evident that they lack the experience and professionalism needed to effectively manage this apartment complex. I regret moving here and caution others to deeply consider both the utility billing and the management’s track record before committing. My hope is that future residents won’t have to endure the same headaches I’ve faced dealing with this inept management team."
"Absolute trash. Stay away from this apartment. The property managers will do whatever they can to extort every penny from you upon move out. Our stay here was filled with constant issues. Elevators being broken, bathroom flooded, appliances broken, sewage backup and what not. There is nobody to take care of the issues. The property manager is never on the property so you have nobody to complain to. How convenient. The whole thing is a complete shitshow. Many other better apartments in this area for a better price."
