"Upon arriving at the community at 11:10am the be right back sign was posted on the office door that read 1:15pm. I thought maybe that team had taken an early lunch or was out on tour. I sat for about 3-5 minutes to wait and see if someone by chance would come out. Sure enough a resident was exiting the office and with a male office member. He was saying goodbye to her. I then said hello and introduced myself. I let him know I was in the area viewing a property nearby and had an appointment at 12 PM but wondered if he had time to show me early. I noticed that self guided tour sign and he looked over as well and said I can do a self guide if I liked. I said I would rather a guided tour verses self guided but if he didn’t have time, then I’d do a self guide. He suggested self guided, and I was ok with that since I was very early. I sat down and followed the instructions to download the app for self guided tours which took another 5 minutes. While doing so a couple walked in and went straight into the office. I overheard them say that they did not have an appointment. He directed them to wait in the lobby where I was still downloading the app and waiting for the email confirmation. Finally the email came through and I noticed that the couple was waiting for the office member to come out. They appeared to waiting for him give a guided tour. At this point I was offended because I expressed I wanted a guided tour and also had an actual appointment scheduled. I felt that I should have been priority regardless if I was early or not. I continued my tour using the app but was already a bit turned around since there were NOT any signs or guides visible to make a clear tour path. I work in the same industry and know how this works, so I gave grace for things that were off. It also appears he’s working alone so I have more grace. I continued with the tour and once I got into the pool area of the tour, I got stuck inside due to the doors being fob access and I was not given a fob to tour. I tried to use the exit gate but the deadbolt was locked and I could not exit. I tried knocking on that windows in hopes someone would hear but they couldn’t. I then called the office and was routed to the call center who helped call maintenance. Maintenance never showed up and then I see the office manager and the couple from earlier walking out. I let him know that I was stuck there for 10 minutes and could not complete the tour, I also expressed how I noticed they didn’t have a scheduled tour and he still guided them but directed me to self guide. I told him that I am leaving as I had wasted 20-25 minutes and felt I was not helped. I told him the experience was poor. The lady then said she didn’t mind if I toured with them but I was already walking away. The office manager then said No. (lol rude) Group tours are offered to people if everyone is comfortable but he didn’t even consider it smh I went by the office because I saw another employee who appeared to be maintenance. I asked him for a card of the office manager or pamphlet and he said he doesn’t know where anything is. I then asked if any desk had a card and is the community managed by Greystar still. He said he doesn’t know and that he’s new. I asked for the name of the manager that I just saw and he said “Rudy”. Seemed like he lied and pretended “not to know anything” to protect his co-worker who he knew was wrong about the way he handled the situation. I asked for a last name and he was unaware. The manager Rudy then walked up and I explained my frustrations and how I felt the experience was poor and offensive. I let him know it rubbed me the wrong way that he directed me to self guide and then took a couple who had No Appointment on tour in front of me. I felt very dismissed. I let him know I also am in the industry and understand the process but this experience was poor and I don’t appreciate how I was treated. The property itself is nice and well kept but this experience not welcoming and felt discriminatory based on familial status. Disappointed in new management!"
"This is poorly run company. Management does not care for their tenants enough to answer the phone. The downstairs neighbors were awful stomping at all times of the night. People arguing over parking spots. They also charged us $240.00 for cleaning which we cleaned our entire apartment like the day we moved in. $350 for damages after only being there for 4 months. How much damage can you do in such little time. There are no damages in the apartment we lived in. Be aware of this poor management, and there lack or care. They took this from our security deposit. There is no damage or anything dirty."
"Verdant at Green Valley is a great choice. The manager, Joy, takes very well care of the tenants and ensures the property stays well maintained. She is very responsive and aids in a timely manner. Great choice for families, the complex is very clean and child friendly. Highly recommend!!"
"The worst apartment complex I’ve ever lived in! I’ve lived here for 2 years, when I moved in the staff was very friendly and accommodating. However, within the first 6 months the office staff changed and the current office manager, Joy (don’t let her name fool you) is a nightmare. She lacks compassion and basic customer service skills. She is also extremely rude and vindictive. The office staff is in no way on the same page as they frequently send conflicting messages. My apartment was inspected a year ago, I was told I needed a new faucet. Yet I still haven’t received one a year later. The maintenance crew struggled changing a toilet seat, it took the man a whole hour to change one toilet seat just for him to still put it on wrong. They try to get you by advertising luxury but luxury is not based solely on the inside of an apartment it relies heavily on the staff and the care you take of your facilities. If you could avoid this apartment complex please do! Look into Nova. The grounds here also haven’t been as well kept as they previously were, there is hardly any bark at the playground, there’s been mice in the hallways, and roaches scattering the parking lot and walkways at night. See the comment below. This is another example of how the office tries to belittle and patronize residents especially ones who are trying to share honest feedback to perspective and current residents. Also note that leaving an honest reviews led to my personal business being broadcasted on the internet. You can compare the leasing offices response under my review to the other responses they have left other residents who gave negative reviews. The drastic differences show that this is personal vendetta. No one should be made uncomfortable where they live especially by the people who they are paying to provide luxury living. Additionally, my review is primarily based on service as well as upkeep yet that was failed to be addressed in their response. This is not a community that you would want to live in."
"We thought Verdant would be the perfect place for us and our children. Our initial visit got us all excited because we saw a lot of other families and kids and we thought the amenities were great. Yes, all of those things have been awesome but we have been living in hell for the past almost one year because of an unhinged neighbor. We always reach out to management about our concerns and their answers are always so neutral and we feel like we have not been heard. Christina was great in trying to mediate but only to result in nothing. We have also come to find out that this neighbor had treated the tenants before us the same way and nothing has been done about it. Lily, Patrick and Christina have been nothing but kind to us. Though that may be the case, I feel like something more could have been done with our situation. Think about how people can be so irrational when moving in. Make sure you get the details of your neighbors - like if they are a family, have kids or pets, etc - before moving in. Verdant can only screen tenants so much. Don’t get me wrong. We have come across a lot of great people here. But there really are some people who we will never be able to understand. If you’re thinking of moving in, wishing you luck and I hope you don’t get our current unit because it seems like this nightmare neighbor isn’t going anywhere."
