"All in all a superb overnight experience. The staff was friendly and helpful. The check in process was fast and efficient. The room was very clean and had modern furnishings. The check out process was simple and easy."
"The building is amazing, as it was built in 1914, and then recently restored. Beautifully, I might add. But a building that old, with that much history, also comes included with plenty of supernatural entities, along with water, gas, and electric. The residents can get a little unruly at times, as everyone that resides there is a unique character with their own unique set of quirks. The neighborhood isn't the greatest, (or quietest) but there is literally never a dull (or quiet) moment."
"I have lived here for 4 years and I'm here to tell you the San Diego Housing Authority spent 17 million on the remodel and I have not seen a roach or a bug since I moved in and the management has done a great job at keeping its residence safe with locked door and security 24/7. Residence check their on guest in with no ID required. The Housing Authority needs to be congratulated for their efforts in giving Veterans low cost housing."
"Love it ! Great people, great atmosphere. Awesome staff. And amazing resources. Also has a laundry unit in the basement. 2 BIG Windows to show the view of Beautiful San Diego. Also brings in an enormous amount of light. . . Beautiful kitchenette with all the appliances you need, fridge, stove, microwave, oven. LOTS Of cabinet space. Gorgeous countertops. Full bathrooms. With space! I actually have a closet space in my room!!!!! Perfect for a young lady going to school and to have a great night out on the town and such a relaxing space to come home to my own studio. I love it in everyway possible. Xoxoxo thanks baby."
"We stayed there on our Honeymoon. Let’s just say a dump was 5 star compared to the Churchill. NASTY!!!There were cockroaches that could carry our luggage. I could literally roll myself up in the mattress. Drug deals going on outside. Didn’t dare walk barefoot. The water looked like a mild tea and smelled gross. We arrived very early in the morning, toooo late and tooooo exhausted to leave and find a dump to upgrade. It was our honeymoon after all. A very scary and gross stay. When we checked out early the clerks tried to talk us into staying longer. They said they would upgrade out room. I guess that meant the roaches wore ties. It does appear that it has improved a bit."
