"Decent place for the price. I made reservations for a room with two double beds a few weeks ahead of time. Arrived to to hotel late at night and was told that there were no more rooms available with double beds. They put us in a room with a single King bed. They switched us to a room with double beds the next day. Their staff were friendly but the accommodations weren't all there. Everything was disorganized. They also ran out of clean towels for the rooms when room service came in to clean. We had to wait till they washed more towels. Not a bad experience, but definitely not the best either. They just need to set the rooms when they're reserved. And get more towels."
"Location is AMAZING. Right off the Freeway, so easily accessible. The service is also great with clean & speedy service with daily cleaning. The room itself is decent, beds are decent, but not too soft, & bathroom is decent as well. There's no smell, & all of the necessary amenities."
"DO NOT STAY HERE IF YOU CAN!!!!! We arrived mid-day on Friday, the staff was absolutely wonderful (only reason I agreed to a one-star), however the rooms and other guests were terrible. The place isn't a resort, it is a place prostitutes work and homeless would sleep. Not only were they staying there, but also soliciting on the side of the "resort". At night, there were sketchy men in the parking lot, didn't feel safe at all. As for the rooms - we opened the door and could smell mold immediately. Lights didn't work, the vending machine right outside looked like a murder scene. The carpets and comforters were filled with stains, the bathroom looked like it was built in the 70s. And I can't forget the beautiful view of the hill crawling with homeless people, garbage and shopping carts. And if that doesn't convince you, just google Police Reports, Mission Valley Resort. Don't understand how this place is even operating. Needless to say we didn't sleep there and stayed at the Holiday Inn a few doors down- highly recommended!!!"
"The staff is very friendly and helpful. The grounds are nice and well maintained. The rooms are a good size. However, the rooms are dated, the cleaning staff could do a better job, and I did see two small roaches in the bathroom my first night."
"This was likely a really nice "resort" 40 years ago but I don't think they've fixed, replaced, or upgraded a single thing since then. For example, they gym is spacious and has several decent machines (no free weights) but the a/c has been broken probably for years. They haven't even bothered to put in a fan or something. They said, "oh just open the door and let some air in." It was unseasonably hot and humid during our visit, so I made it about 10 minutes before I left and finished my workout in my room. In our room, electrical outlets either didn't work or were hanging loose from the wall. The bathtub drained super slowly. The carpeting was ripped. The smell everywhere including the lobby was just musty and gross. The location is great and the beds are comfortable. But they're double beds, not even queens. There's a reason it is the cheapest place on Hotel Circle. Not recommended unless you really just don't care about aesthetics and just need a place to crash. Otherwise spend an extra $20 a night and choose one of the other Hotel Circle options."
