"Rooftop bar is not to be missed. We had burgers delivered to the rooftop and they were very good and huge. Room was a bit small but comfy, clean and had a great view of the ballpark. Location is ideal, walking distance to everything you need. Service was wonderful."
"The rooms need a refresh. The rooftop bar needs more seating, and someone to clean after the patrons who can't manage to clean up after themselves. Because it was a weekend, the lounge was not open for breakfast, and the snacks we were told would be available in the lounge were absent. The breakfast staff could not be bothered to help us, and the buffet itself was sub par, with cold food, and slim options. The only yogurt offered contained fake sugar, which we cannot eat. The location of the property was fantastic, the front desk folks were very helpful, as were the valets. We had to have a maintenance person visit our room, because the ac was on but not functioning. We were on the 20th floor, and ac would have made our stay more comfortable, the whole building is apparently un air-conditioned at the moment, which would have been nice to have been told before our first night. We were offered a fan, but only after we spoke to one of the general managers. All in all, I think the only way we would stay there again, is if renovations are made. But since there are so many hotel options in this area, idk. We do have two standout employees to acknowledge, and they were Justine, and Roman. They were very helpful, but constrained by the current hotel insufficiency."
"Let me just say that in all my time staying at Marriott Hotels, this by far has been the worst experience I have had. I arrived late at night and had already checked in my room from the app, and it was already paid for by my company, so there was no need to give them my own credit card but Ara the receptionist insisted I give her my card otherwise she would not look up my room at all.. I've never experienced that before and let her know I just wanted to have keys since I already checked in online. She only gave me a key after I gave her my credit card . She also took off my member # from the reservation and said since my name is not on the card she will not have it on there, this led to my reservation being removed from the app and thus caused me to loose access my mobile key. The next night after 13 hrs of work I came back to hotel and my key did not work I went downstairs again Ara was there and said she reset my key, so I went back to my room and guess what? The key did not work.. by now I'm irritated because I'm tired from working.. my food was cold from going back and forth from room to lobby so I asked to speak to the manager she said she would have the technician fix my door the next morning..in the meantime the maintenance man could open my door which basically meant if I wanted to go out again I could not close my door or I'd have to call maintenance again.. this is not it.. the AC/Heater did not work, and I also had what look like fruit flies all inside the room when I notified the manager all she said she could do was give me a 25 dollar credit to my room.. overall, it was a bad experience completely. I would NOT stay at this hotel again. The only person who was extremely nice was the valet lady who got my car the days I was there.. the only pro to this hotel is the proximity to petco Park & downtown."
"Staff are great. Quickest response time from hotel I've ever received for any issues. So many great restaurants around the hotel. For late night, subway across the street 24h. Charging station on work desk doesn't work well. The plugs holes aren't tight enough so your chargers just fall off with the lightest touch, just be very careful. Very short walk to convention center."
"I am writing to express my deep frustration and disappointment regarding my recent stay at one of your properties. As a loyal Silver Elite member for over 18 years, I have never encountered such a terrible experience at a Marriott hotel, especially during the holiday season, when I expected to feel at home: 1. Room Condition: The room I was assigned to was extremely outdated, with furniture that appeared worn and obsolete. The presence of dust and allergens caused severe allergies throughout our stay. Additionally, the wallpaper was torn, the chair was filthy, and the shower showed signs of rust. Furthermore, the television had poor reception. It was disheartening to have such a subpar experience, considering the premium status that this category of room should offer. 2. Valet Parking: I had specifically requested a 50% discount on valet parking, which was not honored by the reception staff. Despite providing evidence of my reservation and even sending an email prior to my arrival, there seems to be a lack of clarity regarding this matter. 3. Dry Cleaning Service: My wife availed herself of the hotel's dry cleaning service and was advised to drop off the items at the lobby before 8:30 PM. However, when we arrived at 8:35 PM, we were met with rudeness and were not able to hand over the garments. The treatment we received was exceptionally poor. 4. Late Check-Out: I had requested a late check-out due to our flight schedule the following day. Unfortunately, the response I received was an outright denial, citing an ongoing event. It is disheartening to witness a pattern of "no" as the default response without any consideration given to my loyalty and the special circumstances of my visit. Regrettably, this experience has left me with no desire to return to any Marriott property, particularly due to the appalling level of service, the dismissive attitude of the staff, and the complete disregard for my expectations as a valued guest. I trust that Marriott, as a renowned hospitality brand, prides itself on providing exceptional guest experiences."
