"I'm so happy we chose The Shoal to stay in San Diego for 4 days! My first time in So Cal for my birthday. The employees were very nice and helpful. The rooms were clean and the bed I had was so comfortable! I hope to see changes in the future for the items below. - Please consider swapping out the sliding bar door to the restroom. It's too close to the beds. - They make us pay for parking and bike rentals. I wish those were free access. other than that I loved that we were a good walking distance to the ocean. It defiantly felt close to paradise!"

"This is such a cute great location! Love the rooms they have been remodeled and are super chic! The beach is a short walk down the street and there is a grocery store and great restaurants to walk to near by! I would recommend this place above many other hotels in the area!"

"Don't let the exterior of the place frighten you. Inside the rooms are super clean, modernized and well appointed with lots of outlets and plugs, a spacious shower, and a bathroom sink that's got storage in a modern way. it was a well designed room that was fresh, modern and immaculately clean. The bed was very comfortable. The facility has a pool that, although does not look that inviting was immaculately clean. The hotel room towels were substantial and fresh and there's a great coffee shop just outside the parking lot. It's only two blocks to the Beach. All in all it was a great stay."
