"just a room, that’s it. it wasn’t anything outstanding: there were dirty parts (pictured), it smelled strongly of paint, no fridge/microwave. it was good for the night because they were pet friendly and on the cheaper side ($80 for the night). in a convenient area for me. i’d probably stay here again for the convenience and cheap price though!"

"Nice renovations, was still under construction when we visited, however we stayed in a room that was already done with the renovation, I was pretty impressed with the details, Friendly desk service, we came in a couple hours early and was able to be checked in before 3p since we flew in from MN. Quiet surroundings and well lit in the parking lot made me feel safe when I had to run to the car for things during the night. Price is cheap but still better than other cheap Motels I've been to."

"A very basic motel room. No in room amenities. Water pressure poor, barely warmed up. Cigarette burns on bathtub and toilet. It was clean otherwise. You could see light all around the door when closed, best thing about that was you could lay in bed and check if the door was locked because you could literally see the dead bolt through the gap. If they didn’t charge 140.00 for the night, I could be a little easier on them. This is a 85.00 room at best. This was a mid January stay. The next night I paid 110.00 at the Holiday Inn Express in Camarillo and it was exceptional in every respect. Motel 6 Monterey...stay in your lane when it comes to prices. You do not stand shoulder to shoulder with any of the places I have stayed in, yet you were next to the most expensive. I wouldn’t look at staying there again."

"The location to the fairgrounds is excellent... easy, short walk! And dogs are allowed which was important to us. However, the rooms are pretty gross and very small. The floor was filthy- we ended up with dirty feet just from walking around barefoot in our room. The water pressure is awful- we had to fill up our ice bucket with water from the sink to properly rinse off when attempting to shower... there were drops coming out of the shower head. The volume on the TV did not work. And there were large cockroaches and when the front desk was notified- their response was, "sorry about that" and that's it."
