"I showed up on March 3rd at 11pm after driving 10 hrs. I walked in the lobby and nobody showed up for 5 minutes. The black Girol came out smelling like weed saying there were no more rooms after I already had a reservation. I called to get a refund and she said I was a no-show. I wish they would hire people that actually do their job. I'm out of 90 dollars. Don't go here. It's ghetto and so are the workers"

"Great location for my needs. Great room facilities - it just smelled of fried fish or something similar which is why it gets a low score. No pots or pans available when I checked in. Staff were great. There is secure parking which is a requirement for this area. The first time I stayed at this hotel the TV did not work and there were bugs crawling around the bathroom floor coming from the wall (under the floorboard) This time I opted for a 1st floor room: After 6 days, the room still smells of fried fish and I have not done any cooking in the room. I did not ask to move as I thought it would improve the longer I stayed. The toilet keeps running (i think the cistern seal is perished and I have not reported this yet) Never a great experience here, just functional. Unfortunately, just not worth the money I have paid on both my stays so far. I do not think I willl return simply because of the room experience."

"This hotel is a disgusting den of cockroaches. They were running around scooping up crumbs when we entered the room.There was no microwave and the refrigerator didn't cool well. There was also no drain plug in the bathroom. The shower head didn't work well. The bed dipped in the middle and the pillows were flat and hard. The workers were totally unhelpful."

"I have stayed in these hotel before, but never the Extended Stay on Mandela Pkwy. It was thee worst experience ever. There were roaches in the room, the sink and toilet was stopped up, and other guest were complaining of roaches as well, then we saw them crawling on doors close to our room. Pretty disgusting. One good thing I can say is several managers called about my complaints and gave me a 30% discount on the room. We were not even offered to move to another room. But again, management was efficient in calling and following up.I should have got every last dime I spent back."

"Save your money and sleep in your car or on a park bench. You’ll be better off! This is the filthiest, most revolting place I’ve ever stayed. I’m not sure what we enjoyed the most… The crackheads walking around the parking lot arguing with and screaming at their invisible friend or the bed sheets that looked like they just removed a corpse from. I called the front desk and told them the bed sheets are not clean and I wanted new ones. Nobody seemed surprised by that by the way. They just casually told me that there were no clean bed sheets and “wouldn’t be until 8:30 - 9pm tonight”. So they KNEW the sheets weren’t cleaned! We literally cleaned the room before we even unpacked. Long day so we’re staying at this cesspool for only one night. Luckily the essentials were provided for… Roach spray. I’m sure they buy that in volume. Don’t stay here! Literally one of the worst hotels I’ve ever seen."
