"This is the worst place you can go!! They speak English until you ask for something they don’t have a manager to speak to. The rooms are disgusting the staff Our slightly off and rude. I will never spend my money there again. If you’re smart you won’t either! There are plenty of no expensive hotels with better service and cleaner!"

"Lake Merritt is beautiful especially at night. This hotel? Not so much. The bed was clean enough, but the floor was sticky. I felt gross just walking on the floor with my socks on. The shower was ugly. Drain cover was lopsided, the shower would flood after about 5 or so minutes of use causing the floor to be super wet. The floor was super dirty when I walked into the bathroom on a towel and saw the dirty from the carpet. Wouldn't recommend unless you can't travel elsewhere for a place to sleep. Front desk guy said that a 2 star hotel is going to have problems like this is the guests walk around the floor with their shoes on."
"If I could give this hotel 0 stars then I would. To begin with, it was in a bad area and the parking lot was open and not secured. We walked into the room and immediately saw the bed sheets were dirty. They had stains and shoe scuff marks. We asked the front desk and they brought new sheets. We then saw two baby roaches. We went to the front desk to show video proof and to ask for a refund as we did not feel comfortable staying here because of the roaches. Clerk did not want to give us a refund until I called company and they got in contact with the hotel itself. I know they were just doing their job and I respect that, I just wish they had been more understanding of the reason why I wanted a refund. I explained giving me another room would not solve the insect problem as they traveled throughout the property. I hope they are able to fumigate to solve this problem once and for all. I hope they are more careful with the cleanliness of the rooms before giving them out as well."
