The Clift Royal Sonesta San Francisco 495 Geary Street, San Francisco, CA 94102

"Had a great experience here. For starters, we showed up about 45 minutes early and they were kind enough to accommodate an early check-in. We had booked an Executive King room and were placed in a high corner room with great views. The room was nice, clean, and had the typical amenities. The staff was all very kind and friendly. Lastly, it was a short, convenient walk to venues like The Warfield, and right down the block from Piedmont Diner (which was great!)."

"I'm a huge fan of the old Clift because it had the IT factor of style, panache and the design edge lacking in so many cookie cutter in and out blah blah blah. Although we've only been in one room of the redesign of the cliffs Hotel gone were the lucite tables and the pink lighting and independence factor. Unfortunately the lobby was kind of like the Hilton around the corner and the room was spacious the bathroom was perfect but again the furniture was kind of meh. The Clift isnt supposed to look like any other Hotel. And it just kind of does now. But all in all it's still one of the best stays in San Francisco. All the updates took away alot ofthe charm which I am praying somebody in management recognizes and they bring back the big chairs in the lobby and the doorman that used to be so friendly and now they're just kind of average. I would still recommend it above almost any hotel in the neighborhood."

"Really enjoyed my stay. I wish the room has a microwave but a fridge is more important to me and it has that. The robe and slippers were a nice to. Wished it had onsite laundry. Restaurant and bar are expensive. Restaurant was good though. If you have platinum tear with Sonesta, you get a 72 credit towards breakfast. Staff was great and room was nice. Looking forward to coming back when I come back to SF"

"Our recent stay was outstanding. The staff was friendly and helpful. Jason and Steve went above my expectations to help us get our room ready. The location was within walking distance to the theater and lots of places to eat. I highly recommend staying at this hotel! Our girls trip couldn’t have been any better.."
