"Do not waste your time driving for Uber, you will spend more money repairing your car. Let Uber buy its own cars, spend money to repair them, add insurance etc... Uber (rideshare) does not have any expenses. They are making money on people's cars. Cruises companies have expenses on boats, airlines on planes, bus companies on buses, taxi companies on cars, Amtrak on trains. And Uber on what? They are taking 50% to 75% of the fare while drivers are not getting any money from nobody (government) to help them with repairs. They do not provide health insurance, disability benefits or maternity/paternity benefits. Think about it? Is it worth making $10 to $15 an hour using gas, adding mileage to your car and then $200 to repair each tire and $1000 to repair your car brakes? Seriously? Life is getting more expensive and Uber is the only company reducing their drivers earnings or wage while the other companies (retails) at least have given an increase. Dear Uber your drivers are your foundation, destroying your drivers is destroying yourself. Uber won't last, it will come to an end one day."
"I booked an Uber Charter. Literally the worst experience of my life with a business. We had the required number of people for the bus I booked. Instead of sending one that fit us all as they stated they would do, they sent two so we could not all ride together. They did this with no notice to me and the two arrived to get us at different times. I booked them for a set time period, but they did not come get us at the time the conclusion of our event and left us in the cold and rain for 2 hours. The drivers were not the same as the ones that dropped us off so they could not find the pick-up place. No apologies. The logistic person I spoke to on the phone was blew me off and essentially lied to me about what was happening. I cannot stress enough not to use Uber Charter. Horrible experience. I booked my charter in November and it was so bad, I really have only now just been able to make myself write this."
"I had requested a ride back home and called UBER on Dec 26, 2023 at 4:33 pm from Chicago O'Hare , Arrivals , Terminal 5. The driver accepted by request and failed to reach my pick up point since the Uber maps used by the Driver were not working or defective.. They reached another destination , which was not mine. This happened with 3 drivers as the earlier driver canceled my request. I wrote to Uber and contacted their Customer Service and they have failed to inform me why it happened. I had taken my flight to Chicago , coming out from an Emergency ( ECU ) of a Hospital and was severely sick , the long flight made it worse, which was further compounded by the delay caused by Uber for the pick up at the airport. I had to stand outside thrice in freezing temperatures waiting for the Uber Driver to arrive , since the map showed that they were 3 minutes away and the drivers never arrived at my location. I had also asked Uber to reimburse me the high Taxi Fare I had paid to reach home, due to the failure on the part of Uber to provide me the service. which they never did. I am an Uber loyal customer for more than 10 years. I have also reported this to BBB ."
"Been a driver in Houston for two months and have been scammed out of 300 dollars Uber said I would be reimbursed but didn't happen. Fast forward I've received 295 5 star ratings and the one customer who gave me a one star for dropping them off where they asked Uber told me I would have to work back up to a 5 star rating. Seriously screwing drivers next month looking for a different opportunity don't waste your time or miles on a company that doesn't value you."
