Reviews of Fort Dickerson Quarry
"Beautiful view of the quary and a few miles of trail, portions of trail are easy and flat, but some sections are steep and may be challenging for some. Overall, nice place to visit and bring the kids or dogs. If you stay close to the parking lots, all the trails are very easy and you can always turn around if it gets too dificult."
"Beautiful park to visit tucked away near downtown Knoxville. Multiple trails to explore, bring along your dog on a leash, and explore. Swimming is allowed in a small area, kayak, and life jacket recommended."
"The quarry was a nice view but the trails were short and a little suspect. There were clothes (underwear, shirts, pants...) strewn on the trails and in the bushes. In some places, it looked like people were living there."
"One of the most beautiful places I've seen.. right in town this little gem offers a whole different atmosphere than the hustle and bustle around it."
"Absolutely wonderful! Such beauty The water is a breathtaking blue. The cliffs that surround the quarry are magnificent. No lifeguards or bathrooms/showers. Bring everything you need cause depending on where you park it can be a walk. If you have a hard time walking on small rocks please be careful! Water shoes would be a good idea. They have a kiddie section too. Such a wonderful adventure. Family time just got better. Dog friendly. The water is a bit cold but refreshing."
