"Great place! I had 2 of my furbabies seen here. Lower cost than most other veterinarian clinics for spaying and neutering."
"I almost don’t want to recommend them and tell folks how great this place is because it is hard enough to get an appointment as it is. They are very knowledgeable, helpful and reliable. Literally doing the good work, helping pet owners that can’t always afford to have the pet companionship they need and deserve. Couldn’t recommend more."
"This has been our vet since the last 4 years we have lived here with no issues. I originally even gave them 5 stars. However, today, I had to bring it down to a 1. I understand that everyone has off days.... but today was too much. Both my husband and I felt as if the staff was irritated by any questions that were asked. As well as one of our dogs (pit) was treated like he was the most vicious dog, and anything they needed to do to him was unable to be done ( even the meds that need to given to him yearly, was unable to be given to him. Actually, they didn't even mention this situation until we were about to leave). They have treated him for the last 4 years and know he is far from that! Getting his nails clipped, unable to be done "be he looked like he was going to attack" they sent us home with($20) anxiety meds to give him before we come back to get them clipped. They were supposed to set us up with an appointment, which was not done, and when I called back, no one answered, We were also told he may have a torn acl on his right leg, but because he "looked like he was ready to attack," it again was unable to be inspected further. We were shocked by this because he doesn't have a limp nor any signs of being hurt. He actually jumps all over us, and any visitors with no problem. We trusted what she said, and she sent us home with muscle relaxers($20) to help him rest and heal that muscle. When we got to the car and tried to feel ourselves, we notice he had a wound (kinda like a scraped knee on humans) that bothered him when we touched, but it wasn't like I'm gonna bite your hand off because you touched that more like ow that hurt. We were put in a room close to the examining area, so we could at least hear if our dogs were being a pain... and we heard absolutely no .. growling...barking ..whining anything out of him. Nor them letting out a sound of distress, like something was about to happen. On the other hand, with our other smaller dog, we could hear her yalp, while being picked up or nail clipped one of the two ..as well as other dogs yapping/whining, etc...and continued to service them .Which makes my husband and I FEEL again it wasn't the 'aggressive actions' that was the problem it was solely our pit and labeling him as being aggressive, when maybe they just didn't want to work on him? As well as make us feel the entire visit that we were a burden/annoyance. Even when it came down to showing us the charges for our visit.. (which they have done EVERY VISIT FOR THE LAST FOUR YEARS! without us asking) We personally felt like we had just done the worst thing. On top of feeling like we were being ripped off on the meds and asking for a script to be able to order our meds online. Again, I understand people have off days, but from this experience, we definitely questoned on the way home, if we did something wrong personally for them to treat us (including our pit) so poorly, and /or if we should find a new place to go. I received a reply to my review and I am unable to reply so I'd figured I reply in my post - the appt* when I called and asked about the time of our appointment. I personally asked, how long are the appointments and if I should go ahead and reschedule. I was told that you had an opening at 3 and we moved to that slot... no one said anything about being squeezed in. -aggressive* it may have not been noted, but it was verbally stated to us multiple times. - leg- I did mention in my review about the torn acl, but pills were given to help ease the pain .... nothing about setting up the schedule for the ortho was mentioned - I am truly sorry about your staff mental health issues and dealing with not selling your place to big Corp However, I do also feel that we could have at least received some kind of apology for how we were left feeling, instead of simply (what I feel) just telling us off you go."
"Momma Grace/Gracie headed in early this week for her scheduled spay and dental. Pretty sure we posted that her fosters, who helped raise her pups and set them up for great homes, are adopting her. We couldn’t be happier. When we say listen to your gut just do it. Director Beth requested a repeat hw test and our smart vet Dr Dykstra decided a 4 DX would be better. We both had hunches. She came up tick and heartworm positive. She couldn’t be on better hands with The Gentle Doctor of East Tennessee, her new family will comfort and spoil her as SOS treats her illnesses. It’s going to be a couple months of care but all are working together to give her the best. SOS Beagle Rescue."
