Hotel DeSoto

"I'm originally from Memphis, but I live in Texas. I was here a month ago for a double home-going celebration. From the time I walked in (I can't remember his name and I hate that , but he was AA short hair cut and nice kindest smile) we were made to feel like family. It's tucked off the main street but close to literally everything. It's modern clean. When I say clean, I mean clean. THe towels might have been new because they were white and crisp. Even housekeeping gave off a great vibe. Maybe because this isnt a chain or because it's Mississippi, but the customer service was warm and welcoming. If there was a commercial for this place, I would want to be in it!!! I felt good coming in, I was there for 4 days for very sad occasions, they always made me smile when we pulled up. I'd chose this place anytime I'm home."

"This is a nice clean hotel I must say very cozy the staff is very friendly helpful and warming minus one. I don't know how Angie is even working with customers at all attitude is terrible very dry she definitely would be reason not to go to this hotel one day hopefully she will really realize that this is 2024 and not slavery days. But again the other staff is very friendly this is also to management meaning owner of this establishment truly evaluate this individual or else you truly will loose a lot of guest as well as employees. Also she stated that you can't stay past 14 days and if you do you would have to leave for 2 Days and then come back which is the dumbest thing I ever heard but what I also learned and know for a fact that rule only applies for certain people. So not only are you not customer friendly you pick and choose rules as well. And I truly will be looking into legal actions"

"We are here for four days. The room is clean, hall smells good, didn't see breakfast at all downstairs... The place is clean and new, but beds are cheap. If you have back problems, do not stay here. I'll have to have an adjustment, when I return home. I am very sore today, and lower back not feeling well... Bed is very uncomfortable .. I like the fact there is a kitchenette.. it only has one pot and two lids .. Bring your own everything to cook in the room... We went out and bought a dish towel set, knife to cut veggies, and dish washing liquid . We travel a lot, so I like a place with a kitchen... We will not stay here again.. The rough nights sleep in the bed alone, makes that a"no". It's an average room and stay.. Price is good..location safe.."

"My brother stayed at the hotel November 22-26, 2023, unfortunately he left his glasses and wallet. He informed the hotel he forgot his items, the desk clerk received them from room service. She gave glasses, wallet and his mailing info to the manager on Sunday 26 November. As of Tuesday December 12, he had not received them. My brother is 70 years old and to be without his glasses & drivers license all this time. I went to the Hotel 12/12 the desk clerk called the manager and asked for a tracking number for me. He had not mailed the items, they were still in his office, no explanation given as to why not. Even more concerning the POST OFFICE is directly across the street. I asked to speak with him, he would not talk to me or return a phone call. The STAFF, was great, no problem with room or anything else but this manager of this hotel is GARBAGE! How would he like his parents or relative to be without their glasses for this period of time, my brother would have paid whatever the cost to get his item. I picked them up and mail them to him, no apology, explanation, concern about the paying customer who stated at the hotel. I am so very disappointed with this scenario with this manager. We were considering booking 20 rooms next year for our annual reunion, but that is clearly OFF THE TABLE, due to his negligence! This manager need to be reprimanded for his LACK of customer service."
