"How the am I broke down on the side of the road for the second time in 4 months with two different cars after dropping it off here to get it fixed how the did it get worse after I paid for it to get better... Can someone explain this to me. Went in for oil change on Chrysler 300 2007 model left with leaking coolant after mechanic just switched radios cap... He drove to my house gave me a different one (both were not right type for this car) and what do you know still leaking coolant can't drive it.... Took in porsche to be smogged he changed sensors for air and the check engine light is back on and that car is also leaking coolant can't drive how are two cars both leaking coolant after brought in for routine services. Next day less then 24 hours after pick up on both... Porsche went in for smog check came out 30 days later thought this guy was chopping parts or something... Dropped Chrysler off for oil change and oil sensor 5 days later picked up and he said I switched the coolant cap... Next day leaking everywhere... Porsche "Passed smog" next day leaking coolant check engine light back on. Seems shady The O-ring dosent seem to fail very often, but they can fail if you'r cooling system has over-pressurized due to a bad radiator cap. Getting to this O-ring requires pulling the upper and lower intakes. ( A good deal of time if you are going to DIY. And an complete intake gasket kit ). So you might want to do a little bit of testing to be sure its not one of the heater-core hoses. I would pick up a UV dye leak test kit ( $15.00 - $20.00 ) and see if you can truly pinpoint this leak. Another possibility is a failed lower intake gasket ( between lower intake & cylinder-heads ). WHY AM I DOING MY OWN MECHANIC WORK AFTER I PAID ONE TO DO THIS... GOOGLE IT.... it doesn't make sense after a week in your hands... this is unacceptable... this guy gave me a bad radiator cap and caused damage to my car... then gave it back to me and let me break down on the road now i'm playing mechanic... ???"
