"Average dining hall food. All of it was EXTREMELY salty (and I like salt). I'd say you definitely got the amount of food you paid for since you can get a main meal, salad, soup, dessert and drink for all one price (buffet ish style). The place is fairly clean and is like a nice dark restaurant. I will probably come again for convience."

"Eating at Southern Kitchen is like eating at your Grandma’s house. Between the warm and welcoming staff and the dim lighting, it is definitely the best place to eat on campus. The food is not only delicious but filling. It has been a long time since I was full, but I ate every bite on my plate. The food at Southern Kitchen is cooked with love unlike the food that is mass produced at the other cafeterias. Southern Kitchen is not only a place to eat on campus, it is a home."

"I kept hearing about the fried chicken. It was OK but nothing special. Update:. The chicken his hit & miss for some reason. The last few times I had it, it was really good. Best friend Chicken on campus and much better than Raising Cain's."
