"I was referred to Dr. Roka and NP. Velvet Torres by a neighbor. She has had a wonderful experience with Torres so naturally, I wanted to get an appointment set up as I currently do not have a primary doctor. The first time I called I was left on hold for 30 minutes before setting up and appointment. The gentleman that answered the phone wasn't friendly or rude, but definitely not helpful. I explained why I was calling and that I am a new patient. He was very lackadaisical and border line flippant. Only gave me 1 option for a first-time patient visit. When I explained that afternoons were best for me, he said, sorry we only have 9:15 on such and such date...so I took it. Well, now I have to reschedule because, as stated, mornings aren't good for me due to my work schedule. I've been sitting on hold for over 20 minutes listening to this classical Asian type of music. Like WHAT IS HAPPENING RIGHT NOW? LOL. I'm very irritated. I have to stay on though because I don't want to get charged for a no show. Finally! Someone came back to deliver me from the music and what do you know, the same guy answered asking me if he could place me on a brief hold again. I said, "please DO NOT!" and explained what I've been dealing with when trying to get in contact with this office. He was almost whisper talking, sounded very bored, didn't apologize for what I'd experienced and set up my new appointment date. If it weren't for my friend/ neighbor really loving this office, there is no way I'd try them out."

"I would like to have had the opportunity to rate this place better, however, I couldn’t get thru to even make an appointment. I called and left a voice message early in the week when my call got sent to their voicemail. I didn’t get a return call. I called again today (Friday). I got a live person this time who asked if she could put me in a “brief” hold. I hung up after being on hold for 20 minutes. I gave them a third chance. I called back and when I was asked if I could be placed in a brief hold I said that I’d rather she didn’t because I had been placed on hold for twenty minutes and nobody got back to me. She said that the computers were being slow and then she said, “but let me transfer you to this other phone”. After being on hold for 10 minutes, I hung up. Imagine if I had to do this routine every time I need an appointment?! No thank you."

"I see Millie more frequently and I can say Dr. Rokas PAs are an extension of the amazing care he provides. I have never had an issue trying to schedule an appointment, if you leave a voicemail, I would follow up on another day/time. I understand some of the negative reviews about frustration with getting ahold of someone, but it’s not because these people are lazy. I will always keep Roka as my pcp, and I hope the negative reviews scare away more patients so wait times don’t increase . Amazing staff, including office staff and care"

"Switching to another physician bc any time I try to make an appointment or need assistance, no one answers. Staff just sit around doing nothing, so answering a phone is too complicated it seems. I have left multiple messages trying to see how I can get a referral for a neurologist appointment bc they prioritize people with referrals. It’s like pulling teeth. I’ve left multiple messages and even sent an email and it’s been well over a week now. Nothing. These people could care less about providing quality and care more about making a buck than helping anyone get an appointment. Absolutely useless staff. I have never met the dr, only one of the PAs who was very sweet and heard me out on my migraine issues I’ve had since age 10, but everyone else is absolutely useless."

"Oh this doctor’s office. I have been coming here for years… And every time it’s a disappointment with the staff. To start they never answer the phones. The few times they do though, they immediately put you on hold. No telling how long you’re be on hold for. There is times where I have been on hold for over 20 minutes and then they hang up on me. I call again and get put on hold yet again. They need better staff. People who care for others and better customer service."
