H-E-B plus!

"A very large HEB plus. I don’t know what else to say about HEB other than it is the best local chain grocery store in Texas. This location has a large variety of refrigerated meals you can take home and immediately cook. There’s a new home selection that sells home decor! There’s a boutique store in the middle of this store. They are expanding their curbside pick up, but when I visited 2/13/24 it was still being worked on. If you don’t shop at HEB you are truly missing out."

"The 2 stars is for their pricing tactics. Have you heard of companies reducing the volume of a product, but then charging the same or higher price? This sugar should weigh 4 pounds, but you can see from the pictures, that it weighs almost an ounce less. FYI, there are no holes in the bag, so it's unlikely that would be the cause. I did make a hole at the top for the hook scale though."

"You will wait a LONG while if you are picking up curbside. Just make sure you are patient and not in a rush. For reference, the past two pick ups I waited over an hour (between waiting for a spot to open and then getting my order). That being said, their attendants are all rushing around and pitching in. They are trying their very best despite clearly being over scheduled with orders. I really give kudos to these hard-working individuals!"

While the employees may not engage with customers, their hard work and dedication are evident as they diligently stock shelves and keep the store running smoothly. This adds a unique charm to the shopping experience, as it's clear that everyone is focused on delivering the best service possible. In summary, H-E-B Plus is a Texas treasure. Its Texan charm, impressive selection of products, and the scale of the store make it a source of pride for Texans. "I like that they have international foods, even if they are expensive. Plus, this one definitely has a lot more options for food choice, including more organic, grass-fed, gluten-free items. The middle area also has cute home decor items and clothes. Checkout is usually pretty quick once you get there, but they really should open more lanes. They usually have only 2 or 3 lanes open and there's always a wait."
