"The store is fine but my cashier asked me if i wanted to sign up for a membership, to which I was under the impression would just be email updates about sales & coupons and stuff like that. She told me signing up would be super quick and take $15 off my purchase (1 pair of shoes) so I agreed. What she didn’t tell me though, was that it was actually an entire credit card account. Granted, I was asked some pretty personal/specific questions that set off alarm bells for me but when I asked why this info was needed but she just brushed it off, assuring me it was nothing and to just proceed. I was 19 and had very little credit history at the time so my score took a huge plunge and it took me months to recover despite closing the card right away. Idk if employees get commission from that or something but i never bought anything from there again except that singular pair of shoes."

"I like the cleanliness of this store. Things are dress right dress here, staff is friendly and attentive. I was looking for something but I just couldn't find it in the store. I needed help with a specialized item, (a Digital Boxing, aka Round Timer ) I needed to know if it was available in store or the Academy website. The employee looked around for a second and couldn't find it. He got on his walkie talkie, made an inquiry & told me it wasn't in store and not available on the website. I was still assisted by the employee who found the item on his phone through the internet and gave me the web address . WOW!"
