"It saddens me to write a one star review of this place because we have had wonderful experiences at the sister location in Cary and the vets are amazing; however, the vet tech staff at the Crystal Lake location were negligent at best and completely irresponsible at worst. You cannot be certified cat friendly if all of your staff are not trained to work on cats and the vet techs assigned to cats need to be properly trained. The vet tech assisting my cat completely ignored in her file that she can be reactive and must be treated with gloves, blankets, etc. She ignored my warning that she might not react well, completely overstepped me trying to coax my cat out of its cage, forcefully grabbed her, and was surprised when she got bitten. Again the vets and other staff handled the situation wonderfully, but unfortunately if you have a cat I would recommend actually making certain you are receiving a vet tech that 1) reads their file and 2) knows how to deal with a cat. Or take them to the Cary location which has been absolutely wonderful and fully knowledgeable of cats!"

"From the receptionist, to the vet tech, to the doctor, all treated my husband and I, but especially our senior dog Newman with the utmost respect and kindness. We felt welcomed there. We really liked how all staff treated our senior dog. They gave him pets and loving but still kept on task."

Been coming here for years, didn't even mind when they were located in Cary for a while. Great staff, thorough, knowledgeable, kind. Understands that my animals are my whole life. Took my dog Maya in for an emergency check when she lost her eye in a freak accident in 2020, didn't charge me and directed me to the specialists in Wheeling. Forever grateful, that was the worst day of my life."
