J&J Shoe Repair

"I went to get shoes repaired and feel like they did not want to help me. The whole point of repairs are for those shoes that need a little more help to save, color, keep it tact. I was told to throw my shoes away which wasn't good advice nor comforting. Why bring shoes here if you won't help? Ons shoe needed a strap, and the other needed the bottom fixed with a strap to close. Geesh!"

"Horrible experience. Brought in two pair of shoes. One pair they did not have the correct soles. No phone call, they just waited until I got there, Gave them my wife's name & the father asked for me to write the phone number on a piece of masking tape. After he searched the store he finally found them. One pair repaired, so I asked for my money back on the other. It appears they can take your money, but when I asked for the money & why I did not get a phone call, "Daddy" who has been here 5 years "no speaka English". He did not know how much I paid, so I had to call my wife & then figure out how much I should be refunded. I have done business in Matamoros that were more professional & could speak English. By the way, the shoes that were re-glued cost $65.00. I'll let you figure that one."

"Unprofessional dishonest and irresponsible. Sent in to repair heels. They left glue marks on shoes and solvent that damaged shoe surface. When I retrieved the shoes they did not mention the damage at all. Went back for the damage and I asked for a refund of the repair cost which I think is a very reasonable gesture. They shrugged off and said the only thing they can possibly provide is a store credit, knowing that I will never return..."

"Brought in a pair of Double H Steel Toes to get the separating heel stack and rubber sole replaced. These guys did an exceptionally good job. They look perfect. Color, shape, height, and perfectly straight. On top of all that, their in-house insoles they sew together are very comfortable. If I had a pair of boots from a grandfather, I would trust these guys."

"Dropped off boots to get heels re-soled. They did a great job and at reasonable price. I then took high heels whose 1/2 soles were separating so I asked to reglue. They wanted to resole at a cost of $90 and to just glue, $30. I then bought shoe glue for $9 and did it myself."
