Reviews
"I have actually waited some time to write this review because I was a bit emotional when it happened and wanted to make sure I wasn’t writing anything from a place of anger. In May I dropped my dogs off for 10 days, had boarded them dozens of times here before. The day before returning home, I received a text stating one of my dogs had a slight limp. What I returned to was far more severe than I was led to believe. She needed to be carried out to me and was yelping in pain when touched. I rushed her to the Emergency vet where they quickly noticed she had a broken leg, had lost nearly half her body weight (4 of 10 pounds- clearly hadn’t eaten the entire time there from the pain of what must have been 10 days of a broken leg), she had not gone to the bathroom in so long they needed to manually evacuate. An expensive surgery and lots of physical therapy later she is happily recovered. I want to be clear, I do NOT think she was subject to any kind of intentional abuse (why I struggled over if I should write this or not), I think that some unfortunate acccident happened and it went unnoticed due to the unmanageable number of dogs being boarded. The success they have had from being a great boarder over the years, they are just not able to notice a small dog who isn’t eating, using the bathroom and has a fully broken leg. I would say if you are boarding a large dog for a very short time, you likely don’t have to worry. However for small dogs/seniors/or long term boarding look elsewhere for a more intimate boarder who can give your pups the notice and attention needed."
"Very caring staff who have a lot of patience with not only the pups but even more so with their owners! Very clean and we can watch Izzy play with other dogs... You won't go wrong."
"I was extremely nervous about boarding my dogs because they had never been away from my husband and me. My misgivings were entirely unnecessary because they were well cared for and happy upon our return. The cameras enabled us to keep tabs on their daily routine and the staff was extremely kind when I called in to check on them."
"DO NOT SEND YOUR DOGS HERE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Our healthy, baby, golden retriever died here. After this happened, our vet took a look at our dog and told us that our dog was completely healthy and they couldn’t figure out what happened. They even told us that they would never send their dogs there after what happened to Cody. We miss our baby boy everyday."
"The staff is amazing and truly care about my pup which gives me the confidence to leave him in their care and work/travel guilt free. Most importantly, my dog loves going and seeing all of his friends. When I ask him if he wants to go to "Doggie Daycare" he goes crazy every time. If he was writing this review he's definitely give them an A++++! For boarding and daycare I give them an A+ as well! Thank you Pet Resort Dallas for making my life so much easier and my dog much happier."
