Burnwood Apartments

"The lessor entered my apartment without prior knowledge of her arrival and no emergency at hand. She used her master key to open my door without any emergency for her to access my apartment then refused to allow me to close my door. I’ve requested the managing office number and she hasn’t responded. This isn’t the first time the managing partner has violated my tenant rights. I would like to be contacted regarding her conduct please. Update: they still haven’t reached out about her entering my apartment. They turned the water off to our unit over night and Janice made me feel like I’m the inconvenience for not being able to live overnight without running water. I have two children here. I booked a hotel room and it took her months to assess a refund ($75) even though she said it would be deducted from the rent. You’re concerns will go unresolved and Janice will treat you horribly. She laughs when I mention my issues. Honestly the worst slum lord."

"Left a voicemail once a few days ago to tour a unit. I called to leave another voicemail after hours last night and surprisingly someone picked up. Was then told "do you know what time it is?" And in the most childish attitude tells me she has no apartments available. Why pick up the phone? I'm glad there wasn't anything available for your petty self. You're acting like you have better things to do than raising the rent on those shaky shady and apartments people aren't allowed to tour before moving"

"The apartments are decent sized. I was not allowed to see the place before I moved in. Since I needed a place I accepted but after moving in I discovered that the windows are doubled and they rattle when cars go by on 53 and they leak to the point the blinds move. The ventilation is horrible there is mold and mildew and led in the bathroom and they are doing nothing to clean it. I was told to wipe down the walls after I take a shower, by the manager. She also told me not to take hot showers or long ones. Manager is very intrusive and likes to ask accusatory questions. Heat doesn’t work right, if I keep it between 70-75 it’s freezing in the apartment if I turn it above 75 it’s boiling in the apartment. I’ve put out tickets over 6 months ago and there has been no response I was asked for both copies of the lease and was never returned mine. I’ve been asking for contact information for the owner/company that owns the building and I keep getting the run around."
