"I have an executive luxury apartment its really new. It was super clean and brand new upon move in. I like the high ceilings and the bathroom is so modern and updated. I have no complaints so far. The rent is pretty expensive but I think it's worth it to have a nice apartment"

"Boyfriend and I have been living here for just over 4 months. Our apartment was nice on move in and was super clean. Maintenance has been super quick when help was needed and has always given us friendly tips and advice for how to prevent issues from reoccurring. The ladies in the office are super nice and helpful. I’ve never had a bad experience when calling to ask a question. The amenities such as the gym, pool, and laundry mat make living here very convenient. Neighbors so far seem respectful and are all kind. They seem to also value their privacy and the complex is extremely child friendly. They are extremely cat friendly as well. I love having the ability to have friends over without any issues from neighbors and almost every time any have come over they’ve given compliments out to how nice the apartment is and how well maintained the building is. I would definitely recommend Shagbark to anyone who values privacy, an affordable and cozy place to live or wants a nice starter apartment that has great communication with your management team. "I lived here for one year and ran into multiple issues while here. The property manager and staff are very slow to respond, unprofessional, and not friendly. I lived on the first floor and had a pipe burst in my kitchen wall, causing my kitchen and into my living room to flood. I was asked to leave for over a week while they worked on fixing it - I only got updates on when I could come back/how long it would take after calling the office multiple times trying to get answers. They were very reluctant to compensate any time that I was gone, again after multiple calls to the office and trying to get through to anyone. The pool is only open during the office's hours, so if you work full time you likely won't get to use it. Snow plowing during the winter is a nightmare. There were many times where the lot was not plowed after a snow storm. SIdewalks were not regularly salted/shoveled outside of the buildings and I would have to walk through 3+ feet of snow just to get to my car. There were packages getting stolen in my building, and there was a police raid in the apartment next to me. It was the middle of the night and I could hear police pounding on the neighbor's door until they finally busted open the door and I heard "police, hands in the air" while they rummaged and stomped through the apartment. Overall, would not recommend living here."

"I was denied because they I had a previous landlord try to illegally evict me but it the court dismissed the case with prejudice. They said that gave me bad rental history even thou the court said the landlord attempted an illegal eviction. Once I mentioned my attorney could fax paperwork proving that , she then said my credit score was 2 points to low to qualify. And of course they will not refund my application fee. I know people who live there and they didn't have to meet the criteria I did because the government pays their rent. Which should tell you all you need to know!"
