"I lived at RentGreat for a satisfying 2 years. The decision was initially driven by the combination of affordability and the apartment's prime location within a vibrant Chicago neighborhood. The unit's overall condition during move-in was impressive – a clean and well-maintained space. The standout feature, however, was the exceptional maintenance and responsiveness of the rental company. Issues and repairs were swiftly addressed, and communication with both the landlords and grounds staff was hassle-free. The amenities included water, combined heating and electric bills, and an in-unit washer and dryer combo – a convenient touch with the option of communal facilities on the ground level. Being on the top floor offered a tranquil living environment, although occasional noise requests from downstairs neighbors did occur. Safety was a plus, with the complex surrounded by schools and minimal late-night disturbances. The leasing office staff maintained a high level of professionalism and effective communication throughout. In terms of inconveniences or negatives, my time there was remarkably issue-free. Even the process of moving out was seamless, with ample time to make decisions, re-sign leases, and transition to new tenants. Overall, RentGreat provided a comfortable and hassle-free living experience."

"I signed an 11-month lease with two of my friends in Lincoln Park last year. Our experience with RentGreat was so-so. While we usually got our maintenance/utility needs met, we were often met with resistance towards addressing issues that weren't just simple light bulb replacements. For example, when the included wifi connection became shotty in May/June, they essentially passed the blame to us instead of assuring tenants that they would work to comprehensively address it. Another thing. Their emails are RIDDLED with spelling/grammatical errors. This may seem like a minor peeve, but after multiple poorly written "notices", it just left a bad impression. An older review said tenants were sort of just treated like cash cows - most of us can vouch for that as well."

"I lived in a Rentgreat unit for 2 years in Lakeview. Everything was meh until it came time to move out. We were scheduled to move out 10am on the 30th which was odd seeing as in we couldn’t move in any earlier than 8am on the 1st 2 years back. My new lease started on the 1st and my moving company (like most moving companies I spoke to) had to come later in the afternoon in order to optimize logistics for overnight storage. I asked for a brief extension to that time to facilitate. I can understand that being an unrealistic ask but we had received a nice covid-19 “we’re all in this together” email offering to extend leases and help out however they could given The goings on with the pandemic. They denied me because they’d have to pay their workers overtime. They sent over a very detailed “move out check list” which was basically a list of fees associated with not leaving the place entirely spotless (all the way down to the ceiling fans and windows), whatever, we cleaned everything. You think theyd spring to hire professional cleaners... given the pandemic and all... They threatened to charge us and other tenants moving out $1000 to clean the trash area because of the additional garbage from the collective moving. Again, whatever, we complied. They sent maintenance over 2 hours before our move out time to start painting without our consent. Not very professional. My impression is they don’t seem to care about you unless they make money off of you... kind of made me feel like a human piggy bank. I get it, they’re a business but jeez. I wouldn’t recommend renting through them."

"Rentgreat is a very professional and attentive to the needs of their tenants. This was my first apartment and Jack was so patient and helpful. We had a bunch of questions and he had no issue staying on the phone with us and giving us some great advise. I would definitely recommend the company to a friend. I have lived in their apartment for over 2 years now . This is by far the best management company we have had. If you are looking for an apartment, look at the ones Rentgreat has to offer."
