"I want to start off by saying Jack and Jasmine have been so amazing from the start! They truly do work so hard and care about residents. Brad is also amazing! He’s fixed a lot of problems we had. The pool is super nice and also the gym! It definitely is a good kind of lively and pretty complex. The bad part is mostly residents and management not holding them accountable. A lot of people are disgusting here, they leave their trash bags NEXT TO the trash chute in the trash room due to pure laziness and just being gross. Sometimes you couldnt even open the door because the trash has built up and is blocking it. Which is unacceptable when paying what we do. I have spoken about the issue since August and I am just know hearing they’re actually preparing to put cameras in. Management has helped as much as they can but at the end of the day it’s the residents. People leave their dog poop everywhere. I’ve stepped in it multiple times on the sidewalk by the doors when leaving for work in the morning. The issue is people are not being held accountable for trashing this place and they will run it to the ground if they know it’s being allowed. It’s a pricey luxury complex but it is not worth the price anymore due to some of the people who live here."
"We are almost reaching a year living at Lumen. It has its pros and cons. It is conveniently located by the mall, and other nearby stores which is great! Although Lumen has its greats amenities such as free printing, a beautiful lobby, co-working area, gym, in-unit laundry and dryer, we have not had the best experience. We had gone a couple of days without hot water, which is crazy considering these are newer apartments. Luckily, our work request was attended timely, and the maintenance supervisor was super friendly and kind! After two days, we went without hot water again and called Kim directly. After her unnecessary "i manage 304 other apartments" comment, she said she would put in a work request for us and have someone HOPEFULLY come by in the afternoon. Yeah, that never happened. After all we put another request in to get that fixed. Following day I received a voicemail stating to call the office since its considered an emergency.. yet we did and the property manager did not see it as emergent as her assistant manager. Safety was another issue. Having to leave early in the morning for work, the light by the exit was never on. There would be police cars in the garage ( this was earlier in the year), and no cameras in there either. It's almost the end of the year, and they are barely fixing the awful entry roads to the apartments. Lumen is pretty and convenient. Not the most luxurious around the area, and definitely very pricey. Do want to shout out Jack who is always enthusiastic and helpful! He took the time to go around the whole property to look for my lost Amazon package back in the summer. update : You will have to face other neighbors who don't pick up after themselves, leaving piles of boxes stacked inside the trash room. Additionally, free printing was an amazing amenity but are now charging for it."
"The office management is a joke! Our autopay was declined one time due to portal issues and we were left with late fees and banned from autopay. Had to pay with a check. No problem. The following month rent was due and we were not allowed access to pay on our app which I was unaware of. I had dropped off a check to the office and spoke to one of the managers about having access to the portal and that it would be taken care of. I did not pay online since I did not want to be charged 2x for one month’s worth of rent. Almost 3 WEEKS later the check got returned and said it was an invalid form of payment. Went to pay on the app, not allowed access to make a payment. Charged more late fees. I have called the office multiple times, got hung up on. 5 calls later I finally got ahold of someone and was informed that they could not take care of the financial situation. Another staff member was supposed to give me a call back. Yet to receive any communication from the front office regarding our rent issues. I will not be paying late fees for the lack of communication and constant portal issues. I am not the only resident that has complained about this situation."
"My fiancé and I have lived here for 6 months and we absolutely love the place! I have been in apartments with bugs before, lived with horrible neighbors and management. I can tell you that Lumen is a QUALITY place to live where the staff care about the residents and our needs. My work orders have always been taken care of within a day or two. Our rent is very good for what we get: amazing fitness space, luxury lobby and community areas, beautiful pool and lounges, and two dog parks! Shared spaces are always clean, or attended to in a timely manner when they become well-used. Our golden is just as happy as we are with the location and the friends he’s made. 12/10 recommend this apartment complex!"
"I was fooled by the beautiful aesthetics at Lumen. I moved to Lumen a few months ago after breaking a lease at another apartment complex. I shared with the leasing agents my concerns at the prior complex and thus, explained an issue with there being several ac/heating units above my unit that were causing a huge disturbance. I went though the process of applying with Luman and moved in a few weeks later. Since moving, I’ve learned that the apartment I am in is also right under several ac/heating units positioned on the roof. In my bedroom, there is a consistent vibration and humming noise that has caused a tremendous lack of sleep. While the property manager was great about purchasing a sound machine, the vibration is so loud that not only do I hear it, I feel it as well. My experience has been rather frustrating and disappointing because I explained my reason for moving here. I would like to think the leasing agent would’ve been mindful of my situation and perhaps told me that they have their ac/heating units on the roof as well. Had they offered this insight, I would’ve never picked a top floor apartment, They said nothing and now, I am reliving a nightmare all over again. While the property is beautiful, it is poorly maintained. Neighbors will leave food on the floor in the trash room, the trash rooms are often overflowing with trash for several days at a time and after almost 4 months here, I’ve only heard someone vacuum the hallway once. As more people move in, you can clearly see how poorly maintained this property is. With how poorly the trash rooms are maintained, I can for sure see there being an issue with pest. I’ve literally purchased mop and broom and clean the trash room on my floor. It’s absolutely disgusting! Don’t submit a work order and expect a quick and or reasonable response. I’ve submitted several work orders that takes upwards of two weeks to complete. When work orders are completed, most have been poorly completed. For example, my kitchen faucet was practically hanging off. After about 2.5 weeks, they finally sent someone to fix it. As soon as the maintenance person left, I turned on the water and the faucet fell again. I had to wait another week in order to get someone else out. I also had a leak in my bathroom. That was supposed to be fixed by the maintenance person but learned that it wasn’t. In addition, I’ve been trying to get my garage door fixed since June. I’ve sent several videos of the issue with the garage but because the management team hasn’t been able to see it with their own eyes, they are dragging their feet to get things taken care of. The complex has only one reliable maintained person for all three buildings. They have a bunch of people who aren’t familiar with the property trying to fix things. Truly disappointed by my experience"
