"1. NEVER ANSWERS MAIN OFFICE PHONE. 2. There is a hornets' nest that the management refused to take proper actions to remove. I sent 5-6 maintenance requests about it, and all they would do is send someone out to spray the area. This did not address the problem. They would not listen to me when I told them it was inside of the roof and would not be affected by the spray. The hornets' nest was active all summer. I had images of sticky traps full of hornets that I showed to management, but the issue was still not taken seriously. 3. When we moved, we noticed the dishwasher rack was completely rusted over and beginning to break down. We put in a request for a new dishwasher rack as soon as we noticed. This request was not addressed (we were given a new dishwasher rack) for 3 months. There was no clear communication from the management team of when they were going to address this until I went in person and voiced my frustration. It turned out they had the new rack on hand all along. After 3 months of no communication and several maintenance requests regarding this issue... they had it on hand the whole time and just never gave me the new rack. **Edit 3/6/24** The response from the owner suggests they "did not meet your (my) expectations". I think the expectations to have an accessible patio without the threat of being attacked by hornets, the expectation to have service requests not ignored, and the expectation to be able to call and speak to the management office should just be a given. Especially when paying for these quote on quote luxury apartments. "Look into these matters"... Yeah I'm very doubtful. This is the same thing I was told every time after notifying that there was a damn hornets nest inside of my roof. I wouldn't be surprised if they used ChatGPT when replying to all of these 1-star reviews. Same cookie-cutter reply. Thanks, Aventine team... For nothing!"
"This review is in regards to a maintenance call on 2/29. I put in a ticket for my garbage disposal and bedroom window screens and that same day Fredy arrived. Upon fixing my garbage disposal he noticed my weak water flow with my kitchen sink. I had asked maintenance about this before (8+ months ago) and they just said that’s how everyone’s is but Fredy was determined to fix it for me even though it wasn’t in my initial ticket. He not only took care of my garbage disposal and bedroom window screens, but gave me a new faucet and I am so grateful because that sink drove me crazy!!! Thanks Fredy!!"
"This apartment complex has the worst customer service of any place we’ve lived. The apartments themselves are very nice in terms of space and layout, but even moving in we had dents in the wall, mail keys that weren’t ours, a single fab that didn’t work, no covers on the electrical outlets, paint drips on the handles and our appliances weren’t connected and the windows and doors are poorly sealed so it gets freezing in the winter. We’ve had a gutter leaking and flooding the door ways every rain we get. Trying to get maintenance to come urgently when things are broken, not working takes so many attempts. We have birds nesting in our roof because the exterior is missing soffit. The ladies in the office change frequently and aren’t solutions oriented and say, “not their problem or I don’t know about any of that” and make excuses. We are reasonable people and pay a lot of money to live here and they claim it’s, “luxury” the spaces like I said are nice, but the amenities aren’t kept up and the office staff don’t really care about the living experience of the residents."
"STAY AWAY. This place has THE WORST management ever! They are consistently rude and condescending; they don't answer the phone; maintenance never fixes anything; they might show up and ask about it and look at it and then tell you they'll be back and they never come back to actually fix the problem. We have had one problem after another since we came here and we are so very sorry that we ever came here. This has been a terrible experience. We would not recommend The Aventine at Oakhurst North to anyone! They call it "luxury" living when it is actually slum living. The outside looks kind of nice and the floor plans are fine, but that's where it stops. We have a fireplace that has never worked; a microwave that stopped working; 20 year old washer and dryer that were spray painted; took 3 months to get hot water, carpeting with screws or something underneath; and don't forget the MICE who are permanent residents!!!!!! When we moved in, the apartment was not even ready and there were huge dark water stains on the kitchen ceiling!!! And they charge extremely high rent for this!!! DON'T BELIEVE THE HYPE!!! The staff in the office is very nice until you sign the lease, then they take take their masks off and become condescending and rude because how dare you expect to have a decent place to live when you are paying a fortune for rent or expect maintenance to fix anything!!!!! Do yourself a huge favor and look elsewhere!!!!!!! We deeply regret moving here!!!"
"The space is nice. However management is terrible. We have had 3 Property managers in 3 months. When we moved in our apartment still needed to be painted, no hot water, ceiling fan didn’t work, rusted floor vents, faucets dripped, fireplace didn’t work and to top it all off, we had mice. The leasing agents don’t follow up, maintenance doesn’t follow up when you put in a request. Took 2 months to get the apartment the way it should’ve been before we moved in. We will not be renewing this lease. Paying way too much money for what you get here. Stay away! Even after I got this “form letter response”, we are still dealing with the same crap. They just tell you what you want to hear and then not do a damn thing about it. We were told that they found the problem and sealed off where the mice were getting in, well 2 months later same thing is happening. Paying this much rent and dealing with management, maintenance is a rip off."
