"Very unprofessional, can’t get in contact with any representative from the office to the attorney , they play cooperate games to play with people credit !!!!! Never move into this place !!!!! Also you can call about anything no answer , but some how they know how to call when it comes to rent !!! Or anything they need done !!!!! Will not recommend!!!!!!! Only looks nice in the area"
"I've recently went to RBM Soulard in search for a new place. The lady I encountered was not only rude and judgmental but she refused to work with me as well. I asked to see their 1 & 2 bedroom's and she was very insistent that a studio would be better for me even after I said no to it. After that she handed me a list with two properties on it and got upset when I told her I saw a few more on their website that I was interested in. I ended up seeing 6 properties before I had to return the keys back to her at the predetermined time. Upon returning I asked if it was possible if I returned tomorrow and do a walk through of my top three with her. She said no, and told me she was booked up all week and Ill have to try some other time. I asked to try any day that week and the week after and she continuously said no to every single day, I even asked if there was anyone else available to do a walk through with me and she said no. I expressed how I was ready to move forward with either place but of course as any other potential tenant I had my fair share of questions and concerns. She completely dismissed me so I left but I was sure she had availability within the next two weeks, so I had a friend of mine call once I got into the car and sure enough she had an opening to show the exact same properties I asked for at the exact time window she denied me for. Upon arriving to the appointment, she immediately said, "I told you I did not have any availability for you today." That's when I told her I had a showing scheduled under someone else and she still insisted that she did not have time to show me the properties that she agreed on and only allowed me to view two without her instead of the three she agreed to show personally. She prejudged me before I even got a chance to apply, she insisted on the studios because she did not believe I could afford the properties I asked for, she denied me a second meeting because she felt I was a waste a time enough though my eagerness should've been enough to show how serious I was. I attempted to confront her about how I felt I was being mistreated and she literally laughed in my face. If I could give the experience zero stars I would but the best I can do to ensure this does not happen to anyone else was to report them to the Better Business Bureau! Please think twice before going through RBM Soulard."
"I’m a new tenant. I had to move into my unit late because the floor was apparently being repaired but that work had never actually occurred when I moved in. The unit also hadn’t been thoroughly cleaned (still some food on the counter and dirty floors). In the first two months I’ve had to submit several maintenance requests regarding my washing machine being broken and on this last request they considered it not emergency even though it resulted in damage to my rug, clothing, etc. and standing water in the machine for multiple days. The maintenance person implied there couldn’t possibly be mildew on my items in this amount of time when I tried to explain the damage and ask for help. When I followed up with the leasing office afterwards (who witnessed the interaction) they told me he is just direct, not rude, and didn’t take any accountability, just said I could contact my renter’s insurance for the damage. I’m super allergic to mold so anticipate needing to throw out many items especially if I can’t wash them again soon. I’ve also reported a sewage smell coming up through the shower and dishwasher but got no response on that piece for weeks at this point. I gave them three stars just because I like my unit in general but my interactions with the leasing company are really disappointing so far. They were very friendly when I was moving in but when it comes to actually helping as a tenant, not so much. Note- maintenance was sent for repair of washing machine shortly after review posted."
"Very frustrated with my time as a resident. Staff at the Soulard office is always unresponsive. I could call 20+ times with no response. They don't answer through the portal either. Most recently, I submitted 3 work orders for a leaking ceiling in my closet, broken oven, and broken sink handle. We told management we would not be resigning our lease until these issues were addressed. The sink was quickly taken care of, but it's been very difficulty to get anyone to address the leaking ceiling and broken over; the 2 biggest issue of the 3! After several weeks, someone finally came out to look at the oven, and the maintenance worker said an order would be placed the same day for a new oven. Great! 2 weeks later, we find out an order was never placed and the work order was closed... Ceiling still has yet to be fixed, and our carpet is starting to smell. Don't waste your time with this company. They will be great upfront, but as soon as you sign a lease, no one will respond to your needs as a resident."
"Admittedly, when trying to setup an appointment to view our apartment it took awhile to reach someone by phone. Email was much faster. We've been working with Alex and Elizabeth and they've been great. They are prompt in answering questions and even gave us a cute welcome bag when we moved in. Our hot water went out recently and they had a maintenance person over in like 20 minutes who fixed it right away. I was worried about renting with Red Brick due to all of the negative reviews but our experience has been great so far."
