The University of Houston Department of Chemical and Biomolecular Engineering, now known as the William A. Brookshire Department, is located at 4726 Calhoun Road in Houston, Texas, United States. The department has been renamed in honor of Dr. William A. Brookshire, a UH graduate who made significant contributions to the field of chemical engineering. Through his philanthropic impact, the department continues to excel as an internationally recognized hub of research activity in chemical and biomolecular engineering. The ACS Bridge Program is also a key initiative at our institution, aiming to increase the number of underrepresented minority students who receive doctoral degrees in the chemical sciences.
