"One word can describe every experience I've been through with this place. Bad. And not in a good way. Yep the total exact opposite of good. Turn around and run as fast as you can.."
"Everything had a charge even to park on their tiny busted campus parking lots. They LOVE money. It’s ironic because they are apparently so Christian but are extremely materialistic. Also many buildings are like falling apart and the food is like middle school cafeteria stuff. The meal plan is also mandatory if you live there and costs thousands. The school is super small so you don’t have a variety of professors which sucks. Go to UH or somewhere else if you specifically want a private Christian school."
"My name is Cici Collins and I transferred from this university in 2019. I played volleyball at HBU (HCU now) and soon after transferred to the Big Sky Conference and played at Weber State. Eryn Leja, Trent Herman, and Cameron Sitler contributed to one of the most dysfunctional, traumatizing experiences I could have ever imagined being a part of. The pain these people and this place caused me can never be undone. I have grown up and moved on with my life now, but just because I have moved on does not mean that I have forgotten what I had to endure at HBU under these three individuals. As a parent, I simply ask that you think twice before sending your child to this university. I pray that my own child never has to experience anything like this."
"HBU is a great school. The staff here really cares for the students. They have great and ideal degree plans and they really focus in on what you plan to do in terms of what you ask for. It's really a small campus and has great Christian views. You'll love going to convocation here, it's always a great time. It's nice listening to not only the staff but what previous students had to say during convocation."
"Everyone here is so welcoming and extremely nice. I love the campus, it’s beautiful and I love everyone there. They are taking precautions by having only two days a week per person and the rest of the days are online, while there everyone wears a mask. Aaron Estrada is the academic advisor and helps you in any way he can. They had a drive through welcome to all the new students transfers and freshman. They give out free gifts all the time and it is just an amazing environment."
